Zachary Leigh Denison
@shortstackzach81 is originally from Northwest Arkansas and grew up in the foster care system since the age of six. He gives most of the credit for his deep love for the arts to his parents, who he met in a community theater production at 13 years old. With their unwavering support, he made the move to NYC, at 18 years old to study acting. He has been fortunate to study at numerous programs, including
@amdaofficial , The Actors Workshop under the late Mike Nichols and received scholarships to study at Stella Adler, TVI Actors Studio, Weist-Barron Studios, and the STEPS ensemble. He toured professionally with Susan Stroman’s Broadway 1st national tour of The Music Man

He has danced for many companies, commercials, and teaches in various institutions in the NY tristate area. In addition, he has choreographed for productions at Arkansas Public Theater
@arkansaspublictheatre and served as choreographer and movement director for the immersive development workshop of “Nocturnes,” and most recently premiered with a new play, “Lone Wolf” with Circle Theater at Brooklyn Art Haus
@bk_arthaus and the Grand Theatre Du Luxembourg.

“Having a platform like this is vital, as the field of dance education is always changing, and with that it becomes harder to find opportunities without constantly curating a social media presence. This is often very difficult to do alone without a regular class a can feel very isolating. I truly believe that we must lean on the dance community to cultivate professional relationships. This platform takes the some of the heavy lifting away from the teacher so they can focus on more on the teaching part.”
