We went to London and Malta this past October. I hesitate to post trip or food pics sometimes as they can seem selfish or indulgent, but I need to share my joy and gratitude, especially for @pattmascua
2025 has been the worst year of my life. Losing Dad, losing Deb, losing Michael, and seeing our cultural identity eroding in this country has all been too much.
So I’m practicing gratitude, inviting newness, sharing stories, experiences, and joy with those around me. I’m grateful for these fresh adult emotions and new vantage points of life. It’s a steep learning curve, but I’m here for it. I couldn’t be more grateful for such a rich community so far and wide, but especially returning home to @pattmascua and Archie 🐾
Some fresh wisdom to share: get out of your microcosm and go adventure. Find joy. Celebrate those around you. Love deeply.
I am forever grateful for the life of my Dad, Mark Davis Bush (September 24, 1957 - September 25, 2025). My Dad: a fun and supportive Father, deeply loving Husband, fun Uncle, jovial Bumpa, Pastor to countless, volunteer, advocate, social justice warrior, and confidant to many. He was the best.
My 38 years of life have been defined by so many of my Dad’s actions to live faithfully and love forcefully. While following ministry wasn’t my chosen path, what Dad and Mom instilled in my sisters and I was a commitment to mission and community. We carved our own paths with the endless support of our parents and Dad’s influence on our lives and the community will echo for many years to come.
I’m struck by how my parents did it—how they raised us with limited means but an abundance of support. What I take from them is an understanding that we are all connected and as such need to strive to serve and love one another. My Dad’s dedication to service changed countless lives including mine for the forever better.
Adventures, acknowledging beauty, playing music, singing songs, always laughing, wrestling, beach going, cooking, loving, sharing, supporting. I love my Dad. I honor him by authentically living my life with all of those effortless values and devotion to our family and friends. Love hard, share always, be grateful.

Cancer is unacceptable. Please do what you can to advocate for support in every way.
Grateful for the life and impact of my dear friend and mentor Michael Dinwiddie (1954-2025).
Michael was a playwright, educator, musician, church member, husband, and fierce advocate for students, young professionals, and the importance of Black theater across America. As fellow members of Middle Church, Michael instinctually befriended me as a scrawny young adult, freshly birthed with liberal arts degrees from Hope College. Our shared values of progressive religion and community, arts and advocacy, resulted in 13 years of mutual support and friendship.
I can’t overstate the importance of truly heroic individuals in our lives: sometimes someone reveals themselves as a natural cheerleader for everything that you are and everything that you do. Michael’s unwavering support in seeing my initial productions to expanding my wings into producing and subsequent graduate school, to hiring me and entrusting me with those near and dear to him, opened many doors.
Michael was the one who would call you up just to see if you were well. Always remembered birthdays. Always in the audience. And he made possible one of my greatest periods of development, at RADA, by introducing me to trusted friends overseas who reflected his support. I am a better man today because of who this hero helped me to be.
The ways I look forward to keeping Michael’s memory and impact alive are to reach out to younger people first starting their careers, supporting their young ideas, fighting for inclusion and diversity in all artistic spaces, and living life authentically.
I love you Michael. Thank you for all that you have given to me and to countless others.

Don’t cancel @colbertlateshow with @stephenathome ‼️ Defend America’s Dad
Comedians tell the truth.
Shame on the CBS and the Paramount/Skydance merger which settled a “lawsuit” or rather a $16M bribe to the Tr*mp administration. We WILL NOT have our artists, our institutions, our national icons silenced by corporate America or our temporary politicians. It’s not enough for something to be making profit, the question apparently is now: “is it ENOUGH” profit? The answer apparently is that there is always more money to be made, without regard for the preservation of our cultural fabric and identity.
Please advocate against this cancellation. Fight to keep America’s Dad! Comedians are able to articulate and put into perspective the senselessness of our time. Please stand up for our artistic community. If they prove that they can take down our leaders, then we’re next. (And so are our mustaches).

It’s GOTCHA DAY! One year of cherishing this little guy who has changed our lives, making them more full of love, devotion, and family. It’s amazing how a relationship with a pup transforms life and we couldn’t be more proud to have ADOPTED and SAVED this little guy who also adopted and saved us.
[Nameless] came to us from our friends at @reboundhounds after we searched for 5 months, being careful to consider who we might realistically entwine with our lives. They removed [Nameless] from a terrible shelter in Connecticut where he had been picked up as a stray on the streets of Waterbury. @reboundhounds then found the best foster imaginable in @westhunterdonah named Lauren, a veterinarian who got him up to date with shots, weight, and healthy diet. She also named him ARCHIE.
Since then we’ve found a life we’d only dreamed of together, neither feeling sacrifice nor growing pains, rather a fulfillment in our hearts with the love of ARCHIE.
Please support these two organizations. Please ADOPT! Please reach out to us if you have curiosity about adding a furry to your life. We couldn’t be more proud of this decision and we’re forever grateful for our little guy 🥰

Thank you @pattmascua for an amazing birthday trip. What a gift to be away, to explore, to be together. I’m so grateful for time away and the fullness to return.
Also, it’s amazing how much we miss our little doggo. (It usually takes less than an hour)
Thank you @hodelpanicolasdeovando for an outstanding experience.
