🎬 Exciting News: 'When I Didn’t Have Words' is heading to the Big Screen! 🎬 We are thrilled to announce that our film, 'When I Didn’t Have Words', has been officially selected for the @shortstackfest Film Showcase at @broadwaycinema at the end of this month!✨ It feels like a perfect milestone, as we are also marking exactly one month since our official film launch. This project has been such a meaningful journey for us, and seeing it recognised by the local film community is a proud moment for everyone involved. 🌟 About the Film Created in collaboration with @media_trust , @rumpusanimation , @woundedbuffalosound , and Republic of Imagination, this film uses creative animation to explore a child’s path to recovery from trauma. By utilising animation, we ensured that safeguarding remained our top priority, allowing us to tell a powerful story without the risk of re-traumatisation. The film captures the essence of Imara’s work: Child-Centred: Keeping the child’s voice at the heart of the narrative. Creative & Holistic: Reflecting our therapeutic approach to healing. Realistic: Acknowledging that recovery is a complex, non-linear journey. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share this creative journey to recovery with a wider audience at Broadway. It’s a vital tool for raising awareness about how abuse affects young lives and the transformative power of the right support.
