𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧 🩵 Dripping in blue beaded fringe, I felt absolutely divine shooting this showgirl look with the fabulous @keldaycaptures , no matter how freezing it was outside! I picked up this gorgeous set on Vinted, which at this point is my biggest talent, your girl loves a bargain and, at 20 quid, it’s easily the best money I’ve ever spent! You may have seen an earlier hint at this look on a previous post and I’m so happy to be sharing the full shoot with you all now, especially after such a huge weekend! Girls, I performed at HEBDEN BRIDGE BRLSQ FESTIVAL this week, what on earth?!! It was wild and I’m so grateful for the opportunity, so this shoot is a little ode to all of the showgirls who have inspired me and helped me achieve one of my dreams! 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 🥀 Thank you so much to the wonderful team @thistleandspire for gifting me this beautiful corset set, in the softest of satins and the most intricate of laces, I felt like a vampiric goddess. I have long admired the gorgeous creations of Thistle and Spire so to have the opportunity to model their ‘Daphne’ collection was a dream come true. While, it fits like a glove and is of insane quality, even better are the ethics behind the style, woman founded, sustainable and so inclusive, this brand is the goat! As always, it was a pleasure to shoot alongside @nickbl.photography who I can always trust to bring my visions to life, with assistance from @caithigham & @ey3ballii ! ‘Descendence’ - @sheisvil I was inspired to create this portrait when I came across a 19th century painting titled “The Phantom Guests”, painted by Georgie Hobson. I wanted to produce a photo variant that wasn’t a direct copy but instead took inspiration from various elements of the painting such as the ghost-like figures and location. @kimptonclocktower were kind enough to let me use their space to bring this vision to life, and as soon as I saw the painting originally, I knew I had to ask @sheisvil to be a part of it. Her visual style aligns perfectly with what I had in mind, and after many previous collaborations together I knew she would be perfect for this project. This portrait contains eight individual images of Vil merged together, and was produced using a slow shutter technique for the motion blur effect. I decided on the title ‘Desendense’ as a triple meaning, with the inspiration for this work being passed on from a 19th century artist, the subject descending the staircase in the ghost-like manner and the depicted deterioration of mental state portrayed through blurred emotions. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞… Xanthe reached out a while ago wondering if I would like to star in her ‘Women by Women’ series and I couldn’t be have been happier to be involved. A little out of my usual comfort zone, being photographed at home and wearing such little makeup, I worried I would feel vulnerable in front of the camera. Instead, it was a really warm experience that allowed me to feel much more in touch with myself out of drag and I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did the shoot! One of my favourite parts about my job is the fellow creatives I meet and it was a pleasure to bed dressed by her stylist Kiera, who paired some of her pieces with bits and bobs from my collection. In photos one and five, I’m corseted by the brilliant @misty_couture , I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter! 🐣 After gigging in 5 different cities in the space of a week, I’m feeling exhausted but very grateful and looking forward to a few days off after The Goose tonight! 𝐕𝐈𝐋 𝐱 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐱 𝐊𝐎𝐈 🦇 Freaky just got fabulous and it was an absolute dream come true, I had the best time at KOI studios collaborating on this incredible shoot. Growing up, nestled amongst swathes of pink down the toy aisle, Monster High always caught my attention. Campier, darker and all round the most fashion forward lineup of dolls little me had ever seen, I was particularly obsessed with Draculaura. If any of you remember my Vilith Grimm days, you’ll know that she was a huge influence on me and, alongside MARINA, is the reason behind the signature heart on my cheek. As a kid, I was always too afraid to own a Monster High figure, so to transform myself into Draculaura for this campaign felt super healing and very full circle. Thank you so much to the team at KOI for having me back again, I’m so grateful for the opportunity! 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐲 🥀 I’m at a loss for words with this shoot, collaborating with @faunaphoto_ was an absolute dream and I will cherish these photos forever. Milly’s work speaks so much to the genre of art I obsess over, bathed in golden sunlight, I felt like a pre-Raphaelite princess behind their camera. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity and it was such a highlight for my Scottish trip last year, speaking of… Thank you so much to @edenspaghetti and @st__salvatore for helping me piece this costume together with odd bits of curtain ties, scraps and one almighty vision! I had the loveliest time coffee staining all these bits and bobs in their Dundee garden whilst @zula_deep_ collected the flowers and shrubbery for my bouquet 💐. 𝐈’𝐦 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐥… Meet Me at the Backdoor, I am beyond repentance! It was such a pleasure being back in gorgeous Worcester for my third installment, Night of 1000 Gaga’s. I had a blast performing alongside so many icons both on and off stage, always making sure I take the opportunity to shoot with the incredible @leachyy . I’m so grateful to be welcomed back by this beautiful queer family and can’t wait to join them again in the future! One of the highlights of my year has been overseeing the @yearofthedolls charity calendar, showcasing some of Manchester’s most iconic Transfemme performers, alongside Big Dee, Kynn and Angel. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 🥀 It’s always a pleasure to be shot by @jodyhartley_photos and these pictures from @homobloc are perhaps my favourite to date. Ethereal, uncomfortable and excessive, our brief for the group was Nineteenth Century Parisian courtesans. Imagining Homobloc as if it were two centuries ago, inspired by painters like Toulouse-Lautrec and Degas, I’m so happy with how this look came together especially when paired with the dreaminess of Jody’s photography.
