I’m forever in awe of the painting skills of @itsramonalove , my good friend who painted this rock star leather jacket for me! We wanted to create something punky, rock star-y and bratty. We worked closely on the patterns and shapes that would best fit this look. Black & White - clean and polished, with an immense amount of detail. She also styled the infamous @sirrodstewart wig too! Iconic? Ridiculous? Hilarious? Yes. She ate that! I picked up this gorgeous set on Vinted, which at this point is my biggest talent, your girl loves a bargain and, at 20 quid, it’s easily the best money I’ve ever spent! You may have seen an earlier hint at this look on a previous post and I’m so happy to be sharing the full shoot with you all now, especially after such a huge weekend! Girls, I performed at HEBDEN BRIDGE BRLSQ FESTIVAL this week, what on earth?!! It was wild and I’m so grateful for the opportunity, so this shoot is a little ode to all of the showgirls who have inspired me and helped me achieve one of my dreams! TRANS RIGHTS NOW !! 🩷💙🏳️‍⚧️ Just in case it’s not completely obvious, I stand firmly with my trans siblings. The trans community is under attack and we’ve seen a rise in people being openly transphobic since the Supreme Court ruling. Just so we’re clear - trans men are men and trans women are women. Obsessing over someone’s genitals is weird. TERFs and organisations like For Women Scotland are actively working to exclude trans people from public spaces and discriminate against them socially and legally, under the guise of “protecting women and children”. But trans people don’t want more rights… they just want equal rights. Honestly at this point they just want to be left alone to be themselves without fear of exclusion and harassment. I would encourage you all to take a look at @lawsadrag and @goodlawproject and delve a little deeper into what these rulings would mean for trans people in daily life. Cis people and people who have the privilege of blending in with what society deems “normal” - the time to speak up was yesterday. Check in on your trans mates, speak up for them, BOOK them. The queer community would be nothing without the T and their contributions to art, performance, drag, and so on. Trans people will always have a safe space at a Sue Pertrouper show and in my life 🩷💙 I have to thank @joehrrs // @__th3y for making this incredible look! I have never felt so relaxed and looked after with a commission - so passionate and invested in the project and look at this final result!! ❣️ I was inspired by my queen @jadethirlwall and her look for Radio 1 Big Weekend - I loved her using her festival run and FUFN to say 🖕🏻 to all the bullshit we’re facing right now ‼️ Big thanks to @mattressmua @hausofreason for my GORGEOUS human unit..
