Seeing ghosts in my face and in my body - 2020s vs 1930s who wore it better? Idk but apparently if you plop my family another country across time we end up taking our clothes off

Incredibly proud to be carrying on burlesque as the family craft that started with my relatives in NYC over 90 years ago. To quote @gordeychk , “there’s only so many years I can throw ass for a living”
Taking bookings now for this practice based, autoethnogrpahic approach to throwing ass
‘Taut’ by @tb.paps will be shown at @zarigallerylondon from Nov 17 - Nov 27 as part of their photo prize exhibition. Come see this beautiful work up close and in person

A week in my creative life leading up to 1 May. I am in complete aw of the wonderful creatives in my life who are actively making the work they want to see in the world and doing the damn thing. We cannot wait for funding, call-outs, applications, or anything, grass roots is our only hope. Re: “a life full of art is a fight to the death” - how joyous and nourishing it is to witness these multitudes of these beautiful death matches. Maybe it’s the Scorpio full moon or the resolve to get my ass into gear, but I truly feel renewed by this week.
