I’ve been a daughter; I’ve been a granddaughter; I’ve been a sister, friend and a lover. Ive been art and artist a million times over. I’ve done and I’ve been some pretty dope shit in my life but being a mommy has by far been the most fulfilling. P.S. The closest I felt to God was during my pregnancy; the closest I felt to meeting God was during labor, but I knew I saw God when I looked in my daughters eyes; funniest part is she was looking at me. Happy Mother’s Day to those who’ve birthed, lost, and or raised children from a mommy. Happy Mother’s Day to children who’ve lost mommies. Know that your mother’s love is with wherever you go. 🌸

I call this Reel “Ma Dear”. 🌼 • • • Imposter syndrome is the strongest when you’re learning to remember who you were before you became a mommy. It’s been about a week and I had to meditate on the fact I just got on the city winery stage for the 8th time…and this time I did it 7 weeks postpartum as an opener for THE anointed @seasoned_dialogue alongside my brother THE VIBE MASTER himself @jamellow , the infamous @reallordvizion and my dearest new sister the ever so effervescent and magnificent @mikhaylawrites . Performing this past week was a call back to myself; a reminder that the most high requires so much more of me now than he did last year and, boy, is it an honor to have more required of me. If you thought I was scary before I had my daughter, understand, I have become all the more petrifying; not only because I’m far more feral than I was before but because I have no choice but to be obedient in my calling. It is an honor to be in the number. It is an honor to be obedient. It is an honor to patiently wait on the most high’s say so and to be patient with my purpose. It is my honor and pleasure to be in the bosom of his grace whilst working towards what the future me already has. Sis, this is a reminder to you that 7 years, 7 months, 7 weeks postpartum, 7 days postpartum, 7 minutes postpartum, 7 months pregnant, or 7 weeks pregnant, you are still WAY too sexy for your mother fucking shirt. 💅🏽 With love, She Pharaoh. Good noodle! Immaneedfayou to hold my red stripe. 🥹 • • • When I say I’m grateful to still be in the number. When I think about the Goodness of God and ALL he has done for me my soul cries Hallelujah. Moment of transparency, one of my biggest fears before and after having my baby was being forgotten or written off. I remember asking my mom, “Will I still be She Pharaoh?” Silly right but you’d be surprised by the things you internalize during pregnancy and post partum. If you’re a new mommy and an artist.. I assure you, you are not easily forgotten, sis. Your anointing doesn’t go away because you allowed yourself to be a vessel for God’s greatest creation. What the most high has for you is for you and no change of circumstance will change that. In the words of the Good sista @seasoned_dialogue , let me say this gently, my baby, you can be unsure about how long it’ll take you to reach your destination after a reroute but doubting whether or not you’ll get there when the most high your GPS is blasphemous. So yeah. 🩷 Love somebody, hug somebody (but with their consent because UNWARRANTED TITTY JUICES ARE NOT THE FUN KIND) and remember to study to show thyself approve a workman unto God, needn’t not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 🌸 MAKE GOOD CHOICES, Noodleloo.
