Got so far to go,
In all honesty I have been debating on how much to share for a very long time. I always stop myself from giving too much in fear of whatever I am overthinking.
However, lately I have been feeling the light & power bubbling towards an eruption.
Let see what comes out.
Let’s start with, I am still grieving D’Angelo, and the world doesn’t feel real anymore.
Not because of his death ,
but an overall disconnection ,
I am investigating the reason.
I have been creating authentic moments for myself in this dream we all are living.
I am appreciating the people in those moments with me.
I pray everyone in the light of existence grabs hold of their joy and passion.
Cherishing the moments that matter .
That’s all we actually have after all.

“The Becoming” is the story of a southern belle revolutionary, exploring her way through womanhood.
“The Becoming“ emphasizes the unique experiences of black women & our relationship with God. Inspired from “There Eyes Are Watching God” written by Zora Neale Hurston , I wanted to write out my conversations with myself and God. Bringing in a completely new level of authenticity to my work that I plan to continue practicing.
This all started @goldsboromuseum when I was 18 , volunteering with the iconic Mama Francis Oliver.
I met Zora and the Harlem Renaissance in a place where my heart was so familiar, I swore we had met in the life before. She encouraged me to give more of myself to my poems. I feared that vulnerability deeply so I appreciate all your support and prayers. More books coming this year 💎🌙👸🏾 .
