Scarlet whore, queen of misery, you who collect's men's souls and condemns them to everlasting silence, defiler of Adam, Lilith, I call you! Sallos! Latronay! Ama! Begnannon! Asamdei! A trans woman performs a satanic ritual to get a vagina, but unwittingly invites a demonic presence into her home with demands a terrible sacrifice.
The Dysphoria can be described best by Writer/Director Kylie Aoibhean; wholesome nightmare fuel! It's clear to see how this short is sweeping so many awards internationally; it's a film with intent, a potently genuine message and all the suspense, dread and gore we've come to adore in the horror genre. The staging is perfect, a soft lighting used effectively allowing us to see just enough of the horror without giving everything away too soon.
This short continues the compelling debate of the treatment of trans people in our everyday society. These conversations are very real and lead wonderfully into the narrative, providing a premise that is both unique and steeped in such deep, personal pain and confliction for so many. The tension that arises in the story gives birth to a wonderfully inventive and utterly traumatic scene, aided visually by phenomenal special make-up and practical effects. I personally am obsessed with this work; it's everything we need in a genre dominated by sequels and remakes. Gritty, inventive and powerful filmmaking is on full display. Be sure to make time for The Dysphoria, it's utterly unmissable!

CB Australia: BEYOND THE BRIEF - What happens when you turn a person into a cookie and ask them to live a normal life? If you’re Maxibon, you lean all the way in. In this edition of Beyond the Brief, SICKDOGWOLFMAN Senior Copywriter Siobhan Joffe and Art Director Leonie Duff unpack how the idea for Maxibon’s Choc Chip Cookie Bon was born - complete with panic, crumbs, milk-dunking dilemmas and a prosthetic suit built for TikTok dancing.
Q. Starting at the beginning, what was the brief from Maxibon? How much freedom did you have to go as weird and wonderful as this?
A. SIOBHAN JOFFR: Maxibon came to us with a new product: Maxibon Choc Chip Cookie. Their brief was simple: Create a campaign that celebrates the new cookie flavour. That’s it. No double-pronged SMPs. Across a hero TVC, OOH and fit-for-platform social executions. The Maxibon tone of voice is inherently playful and lo-fi, which allowed us to put our weird and wonderful caps on. SKYHIGH

Pranked ya! 😂 Here I am working as a life cast model for @sharp_fx posing as a 19th century railway maintenance worker hammering railway spikes for Carnarvon Mannequins Museum in Western Australia. The first part involved me holding the exact pose requested for between 45-60 min and the second required me to keep the same facial expression and head tilt for up to 30 min. My right eyebrow and jaw was so stiff from doing the pose for so long that I jokingly said to Russell from Sharp Fx before they covered my mouth that my right eyebrow is gonna be jacked after this… I’ll have to make sure I have my protein afterwards! That gave em a good giggle. 😂
All jokes aside… well maybe one pun, I got to have a selfie with myself the other day… well most of me except my head anyway… Scroll to the end to get what I mean! 😜
