Aw gosh, I'm selling this MCI JH-110 1" 8-track. I love its sound – my favorite of any of the tape machines here - but I finally have the chance to get my dream machine, a 2" 16-track, so something has to go. Lots of love, skilled service, and great music have gone into this deck. @humbirdhumbird Billy Joel covers project, the first song submissions sessions and more. I have a JRF report that lists the heads as being 100% when it came to me about two years ago, so several lifetimes of service left in this thing. MRL tape and a few 1" reels included. @sophia_ammann and I (and an amazing team) worked so hard on Here I Am and it’s out now on @polymoon.music . I love this record for all its emotional truth, bold choices, and the deep friendships it seeded. Here I Am was recorded mostly between two sessions (October 9-13 2023 and March 4-April 5 2024) at my studio in Eau Claire, WI. Additional work of no small importance was done in Belgium with @vandenberghtim . @jt_bates_ , @_patkeen_ , @thenunnery , @gregsly , @seraphinestragier , Jeroen Baert, and Tim Vandenbergh all contributed their brilliance. @freemanmastering mastered, @heavyjean assistant engineered, @clarabakery prepped Pro Tools sessions for mixing. It’s a great privilege to be a kind of song midwife, and I thank Sophia for all the trust and honesty she gave me in our collaboration. Listen wherever you find music!
