I thought it might be nice to just put a few favorite recordings from the tour in a playlist and share it to commemorate the last of the shedding and the close of the year of the snake. Very excited for the opportunity to go back to Detroit for Movement and join the @yourvisionquest crew and more to celebrate 15 years of the label. Visionquest has been an inspiration to me for as long as I can remember and this will be a special moment for all. As a recent Berlin transplant, I think often about their journey. Thanks @shaun.reeves and the whole crew for the invitation. Hope to see many friends on the floor for this one on May 25 @lincolnfactorydetroit
Reflecting today on the many aspects that international women's day prompts. The journey is the destination, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my time with some exceptional women, who are sometimes willing to meet me where I am, sometimes we meet in the middle, and sometimes I can meet where they are. Out of the sense of self, the broader implication of the patriarchy, and the intricacy of the construction of decisions in our society that are both consciously and sub consciously biased. This tall white dude from New York City now living in a very different context is reminded of this often, and I do my best as much as I can to move through the world from a place of awareness. What can we do to show up differently each day? What can we do to keep learning and expanding our perspective and sense of the possible? What can we do to question things that have been normalized in our society for a long time?

Japanuary so far! Many highlights with many humans along the way. In no particular order, but honorable mentions to two epic Japan first visitors @bea__bb__ who spontaneously joined from her other travels for a bit of the journey - you're just the bes in all the ways and it's a pleasure to adventure with you! new friend and fellow artist @olivia__mendez for so much fun, beautiful music, deepest of digs and tokyo adventures together. It's been such a pleasure to share different perspectives and learn from you both! Gustavo, Niseko team continues to be a great idea. Deepest gratitude to the whole music community here - it's a pleasure and an honor to contribute to the place that I have learned so much in. Hope the circular nature of it all continues. Compufunk tonight, Hertzz Monday, Concrete Tuesday.... then back to tokyo for some more digging and quieter time.
