The Cat® Global Operator Challenge returned for the 2025/26 season, with the QLD/NT regional event held last week in Townsville - and Shadforth was proud to be part of it!
This exciting event brings together operators from across the region to take on challenges testing precision, technique, and machine mastery.
We were proud to have Andy represent Shadforth, showcasing outstanding skill and sportsmanship. Most importantly, he had a great time connecting with fellow operators and industry professionals.

🚧 Highland Walloon Construction Update 🚧
Shadforth is proud to be delivering end-to-end civil works on the Highland Walloon residential subdivision, a master-planned community designed to meet the growing demand in the western corridor.
Construction Progress:
● Earthworks and retaining walls complete, marking a significant milestone in ground preparation and slope stabilization
● Sewer installation 35% complete, with trenching and pipe-laying underway
● Stormwater drainage 15% complete and progressing steadily

Our team at Kings Forest have been busy! 👏
They are now in the final stages of works for the External Intersection and along Tweed Coast Road. During the project they have accomplished many significant milestones.
Installation of Trunk Watermain: Successful installation of a trunk water main over an existing bridge, along with approximately 1.5km of watermain.
Sewer Bypass Works: The sewer bypass was installed beneath the existing road, comprising approximately 1.3km of sewer infrastructure. This included the construction of manholes, pipe installation, and tie-ins to the existing network and decommissioning of the existing rising main.
Road and Roundabout Construction in Live Traffic: Extensive roadworks were undertaken across the external section and Tweed Coast Road. During the road construction phase, the site was significantly impacted by severe weather brought on by Cyclone Alfred. As a result, design changes were required to ensure long-term durability and public safety.
Fauna Crossings: As part of our strong commitment to environmental protection, multiple fauna crossings were constructed and installed. Each crossing has been designed with climb-out provisions, enabling wildlife to safely exit. 🐨
Shadforth was proud to host students from Maroochydore State High School for a site tour last Monday 👷👷♀️
The students had the opportunity to explore our Aura site and gain firsthand insight into the world of civil construction—from the early groundwork right through to project completion. Our trainer Dave, walked them through the process, explaining what it takes to bring a large-scale project like Aura to life.
