Pleased to announce “Drop, Cloth” — co-curated with
@glenn_adamson and co-presented across
@hollistaggart and
@susaninglettgallery . Opening this Thursday December 11th from 6-8pm. A project shaped by generous collaborators and two remarkable teams whose care and dedication made it possible.
The exhibition traces a fifty-year lineage of drapery in contemporary art—activating the canvas itself, depicting folds and fabric, and engaging the social histories of textile. Since antiquity, artists have understood textile as more than a material, seeing in it a means to express motion, depth, volume, and presence. Drapery – fabric activated in space – has served as both revelation and disguise, a way to articulate form and feeling.
