Really honored to be joining the OWNERSHIP panel at this year’s CREATIVES OF COLOR SUMMIT.
We’ll be chatting about who owns culture, and what it looks like when Black and Brown creatives move beyond simply contributing to culture… and begin building ecosystems, brands, and legacy through it.
One thing I’m suuuuper excited to speak about is the journey from offering a service as a creative, to slowly building a world, a point of view, and eventually a business that can scale beyond just the founder. There’s something really powerful about realizing your creativity can be more than labor: it can become infrastructure, opportunity, and ownership.
Also deeply grateful to be recognized by peers who are doing beautiful work to push the culture forward in intentional ways. Shout out to @mrsuperbran and @butter.atl for always providing a platform for creatives to connect and share.
Looking forward to pouring into the room and learning from everyone else on the panel as well.

Designing sets started simply as an untapped innate passion.
After zoning in, untapped passion turned into Vision. That Vision then turned into the discovery of my multi hyphenate: Creative Director - Set Designer - Art Director.
And now, after 10 years of working on the crafts, to be nominated for Art Direction on a global scale such as @televisionacad and for a project so culture shifting like #beyoncebowl…That’s the win on its own and a dream come true.
10 years in and I understand now more than ever: I was a student then, I am a student now and will be a student later. There’s always more to learn, more to gain.
This nomination is fuel to keep creating, keep building, and keep showing up. The best is still ahead. And the sweetest part? I got to bring my biggest supporter @brownieladies as my date. ✨ #setbyskye #emmys #emmys2025

Surreal.

The State of Creatives of Color Summit is one of those rooms.
A room full of not only, current and aspiring designers, directors and storytellers. But also attorneys, managers, developers and city resources eager to help bridge gaps.
It was wonderful speaking to my experiences and creative journey.

Full circle moments hit different.
Yesterday I was brought in by @wellsfargo to attend #HBCUAwareFest… and it just so happened to be held inside Woodruff Library, a place I once spent countless hours as a student at the illustrious @cau1988 .
To return to that same space, years later, not as a student but as a creative… listening to the minds of those that shaped my reason for attending an HBCU in the first place…and then to be trusted to document a conversation centered around generational wealth, homeownership, and the power of HBCU culture — that meant something.
The panel itself was just as impactful. Hearing greats like Darryl, Tempestt, Jasmine and Ewunike reflect on how shows like A Different World and The Cosby Show shifted narratives for our community — and continue to do so was a reminder of how powerful representation is.
There was nostalgia. There was knowledge. There were beautiful, unexpected reunions.
Grateful to @wellsfargo for the opportunity, and to be in alignment with work that feels both purposeful and personal.

This week we stepped into a new dimension. 🖤✨
I had the honor of creative directing the promo shoot for Clipse’s immersive Saint Week experience at Art Basel for @saintandcitizen ‘s “The Cross & The Crown” performance.
We built a visual world designed to feel mythic, cinematic, and spiritually charged.
And the best part is… this was all conceptualized by Black Women with the goal of highlighting the timelessness of these stellar Black Men. Thank you @sage.east for understanding my vision and the assignment, you are the goat. And @nessanweze , you coordinated content and final editing that left no crumbs.
