Delighted to share that the past week, I have been working with @artsinreachnh and a crew of middle school students to create an installation about Affordable Housing Month at @portsmouthpubliclibrary . I am proud to bring book forms in such a way to make our little village. We learned what housing looks like for Seacoast NH, and we hope to share more about this with our art. I know I will, so stay tuned.

Elise Morissette @serotonin_studio is an NH artist and framer who focuses on printmaking and bookmaking. Her work explores sentimental experiences and scientific discoveries. She has a BFA from New Hampshire Institute of Art, and has been deepening her connections in her art community through galleries in New England and serving the city of Dover on the Dover Art Commission.
Elise uses block print to tie into everyday fun and whimsy. She uses etching to deepen her knowledge of nature and its ecosystems. Her bookmaking is a beautiful blend of everything in between.

Elise is a quirky little artist living her best little life on the New Hampshire Seacoast. She dives into environments and communities striving to strike curiosity and connect in sentimental ways.

Art ‘Round the Room is a speed dating-style event geared toward adults, without the dating! Attendees will have the opportunity to visit timed stations around the room and experience various art mediums with guidance from professional artists (like Fallon)! This is a rare opportunity for grown-ups to play and experiment. No previous art experience is required!

Introducing “Into the Hollow” – a collaborative art exhibit featuring Amanda Kidd-Kestler, Elise Morissette, and Alex Jutras.
Into the Hollow explores echoes of the natural world through ceramics, printmaking, prose, cyanotypes, and large-scale paintings.
Each work speaks to the quiet transformations of Autumn: branches bending beneath the weight of time, leaves curling back into the earth, and owls keeping watch as daylight slips into shadow.
Together, these pieces invite viewers into stillness, to reflect on the beauty and mystery carried within the fading light of the season.
The exhibit will be showcased at the Exeter Public Library from October 2-30. Please join us for the opening reception on October 11 from 11 AM – 1 PM.
