I started combat sports years ago because of my underlying fear of being out of control in physical situations. Once I started this, I realised I had faced my biggest fear head on and everything else seemed possible ✅ (despite constantly losing!) Doing hard things on purpose rewires your belief in yourself. 💪 When you voluntarily face challenge — instead of waiting for life to force it on you — you prove that you can handle discomfort and push past limits. I’ve started a new business called Sentinel, so I’ll be changing the name from RJF Behaviour. A sentinel is someone who stays observant, noticing what’s happening early, understanding patterns, and responding before things escalate. That idea fits the work better than “behaviour” alone. Sentinel focuses on the ability to understand, act, reflect, and then behave in a way that aligns with who you want to be. Nothing better than being part of a good team. I had the opportunity to support running a mental health wellness day as a trustee for Mentality, alongside people who are doing real, consistent work in a space that matters. I also had the chance to speak on self-awareness. It’s a simple idea, but one that underpins how we manage ourselves, our decisions and ultimately our mental health. Days like this are about collective effort, shared intent and creating spaces where conversations that matter can actually happen. I move with the strong belief that nothing I experience day-to-day can shake my mindset. Not because I think I’m above it, but because I’ve spent time putting myself in uncomfortable situations, reflecting on it, and doing what I say I’ll do. That’s where self trust comes from, and that’s what builds confidence. I still get things wrong. I still have many days where it doesn’t go to plan. That’s expected. It’s part of any process that actually moves you forward. The difference is I don’t see those moments as setbacks. They’re just part of it. If you want a stronger mindset, start putting yourself in situations that challenge you and be honest about how you respond. That’s where it changes. #Behaviour #Mentality #Mindset #Positive #Self

Learning to access different sides of myself is a skill I’ve had to develop. The version of me that leads, the one that supports, the one that protects, the one that plays; they all matter. Different moments require different parts and resisting that only limits me. This life reminds me that strength isn’t one dimensional. My takeaway from today’s seminar with my good friend Raf: • Have a goal—but make it meaningful. For me, it needs to go deeper than just appearance. • Be present. Watch your thoughts and notice your emotions—awareness is where change starts. • Be someone who does what they say they will do. It builds trust and creates discipline. Start small and stay consistent. • Align your goals with your values. Being polite and positive stood out, and for me, also being reliable and leading by example. • You don’t have to be the best. Failure is part of the process—it builds resilience and helps you grow. Massive thanks @sentinelbehaviour

I was given a great opportunity to talk to @thehubfit community this morning after a brutal workout led by @bensullivan321 Sometimes you don’t get to the next level alone. You can have discipline, intent and a clear vision but the right people accelerate everything. My mate Ben has done that for me more than once. He’s pushed me to places that would be difficult to reach by myself, through his ability to coach, challenge and raise standards without ego. It’s a reminder to be intentional about who you keep around you. The right people don’t just support you, they challenge you. Grateful for that and aiming to be that person for others too.
