Still not over this one… and so honored to see it featured on @loverly 🤍 A sail tent ceremony set right along the water, framed by lush summer florals and inspired by the feeling of a golden summer sunset over Cazenovia Lake. Guests gathered lakeside as she walked down the aisle with her dad, the breeze coming off the water and everything feeling still for just a moment. As the sun dropped behind the lake, champagne was passed, lanterns and the reception slowly came to life. Long tables layered with bright blooms, rattan textures, and that effortless summer feel that somehow felt both relaxed and elevated. Dinner was a fully gluten free menu rooted in family traditions, followed by a @stewartsshops ice cream bar inspired by their weekly night walks together to get ice cream with Fred, their bernese dog. The kind of simple tradition that means everything, woven right into the celebration. And then the dance floor, @nikniceguys had tambourines flying, guests singing at the top of their lungs, a packed room that never slowed down. The kind of energy you don’t plan, it just happens when everyone is fully there and celebrating. One of our favorite details was the custom “You Wish” trucker hats for guests, a nod to the first night they met after an unexpected kiss, Grace texted Jake and he replied “You Wish” which became an inside joke that has stuck with them over the years, including it as a wedding detail made it feel like the perfect full circle moment 🤍 Even the in between moments felt like them. Dad running late because Syracuse went into overtime, everyone laughing because it was so him and so true to the day. These are the weddings we love most. Thoughtful, personal, and filled with the kind of moments you carry with you long after it ends. Sometimes the best love stories begin with perfect timing: Anna and Brendan both grew up in Fayetteville-Manlius, even attended school in the same grade, but somehow never connected, until mutual friends brought them together after college. From that moment on, the timing was just right. They’ve now been together for seven wonderful years, building a relationship rooted in friendship, shared values, and plenty of adventure. Brendan planned a proposal worthy of their love story, popping the question while the two were on vacation in Napa, California, surrounded by beautiful views, great wine, and even better company. Anna is a brilliant engineer who loves reading, staying active, cooking delicious meals, and spending quality time with family. Brendan is a driven investment banker who enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and playing soccer. Together, they’re grounded, goal-oriented, and full of love, a perfect match that proves some stories are just meant to be told in their own time. Yesterday was their beautiful wedding celebration at The Brewster Inn, right on Cazenovia Lake! What a day it was! As we are photographing your wedding day, we are already thinking about you years from now flipping through your wedding album together. Wiping tears away seeing the look on your mom’s face as she sees you as a bride, laughing at your friends’ ridiculous dance moves and getting butterflies all over again seeing your husband waiting for you at the altar. Your wedding photos are not meant to sit buried in your phone or on a hard drive somewhere. They are meant to be held in your hands, passed around after dinner with friends, pulled out on hard days to remember your why and one day shown to your kids as they ask questions about your wedding day. Our kids LOVE looking through our wedding album and I loved looking through my parents albums growing up. There’s something so different about holding photos in your hands and reliving a memory that way. After 15 years of photographing weddings, we noticed a sad trend. Couples would have the best day ever, go on their honeymoon, come home and life gets busy. The album gets pushed off for months or years because it feels overwhelming to design or becomes “something we will do later.” We want our couples holding their wedding photos in their hands, not just scrolling past them on a screen. So we built the album process into our wedding experience to make it easy and intentional from the very beginning 🤍

The real life version includes us fluffing dresses, fixing veils, watching the weather radar, working alongside the vendor team as the day unfolds, and me saying “omg you’re beautiful, that’s perfect!!” all throughout the day 🤭 No wedding day ever looks exactly the same, and that’s why so much of our work happens before we ever pick up the camera. We spend months planning alongside our couples and their planners, thinking through logistics, building timelines with breathing room, scouting locations when we arrive, and making backup plans to the backup plans. So when the day finally arrives, you can actually be present in it and have full trust in your vendor team to bring your vision & perfect day to life! Laugh with your friends, hug your grandpa tight after he cries during the father/daughter dance, dance all night, and trust that we’re quietly handling all the moving pieces while capturing it all as it unfolds 🤍

Elizabeth & RJ have known each other since 2nd grade, always friends through school & college but life always had them going in different directions. Until a few years ago when RJ swiped up on Lizzie’s instagram story about her favorite band and one conversation turned into many catching up and falling in love. 😍 They invited their favorite people to Inns of Aurora for the weekend to enjoy one of their favorite weekend getaways, the Finger Lakes, to celebrate their wedding day!! From the moment we walked into the schoolhouse yesterday, you could feel the love surrounding them. Everything was calm and just felt right. It’s wedding days like this where we know many of the guests where I’m reminded of just how special wedding days are, I’ve known Lizzie & RJ as individuals for most of my life but getting to see them join together as husband & wife was so special!! Kelsey & Jared 🤍 From meeting near their hometowns in Rochester, to building a life together in Boston, to weekends spent traveling for Jared’s lacrosse games and trying new dinner spots… their life together is full of adventure and so much joy. One of the first things I noticed when we met this week, Jared is so steady, kind, and completely adoring of Kelsey. And Kelsey is always smiling, always laughing when she’s near him. It’s the kind of love that just feels easy to be around. We’ll be celebrating with all their favorite people at The Lake House on Canandaigua this September, and if their day feels anything like them… it’s going to be full of energy, laughter, and a dance floor that’s going all night long! @lakehousecdga

Finding your person, the one who makes you laugh and somehow feels like home at the same time… that’s everything 🫶 From my very first call with Maggie months ago, you could feel her joy and kindness through the phone. Meeting her in person this week only confirmed it. And then seeing her with Zach… it just made sense. The kind of love that’s easy, steady, and full of laughter. We wandered through the Boston Seaport and Boston Common, getting to know each other, talking through wedding plans, and bonding over how much we all love being home with our favorite people. We are already counting down to their November wedding at Hotel Syracuse, it’s going to be such a good one 🤍
