Tomorrow is the big day: Dexterâs annual @maineredhotdogfest . Weâve got a full house for the weekend and looking forward to attending the festival tomorrow. We continue to sponsor the trophies for the hot dog eating contests and are always in awe how many people can consume. The food, the music, the vendors, the attendees - itâs always a good time. This year we get to share it with some new friends whoâve moved to the area as well. Hope to see you there!

We are heartbroken to share with you that our sweet beloved Brownie crossed the rainbow bridge today. Her cancer returned recently and was very aggressive this time. We considered surgery again but her body let us know that wasnât the right choice. She had a dramatic decline in the last two weeks and crossed today with both of us holding her and telling her we love her. Yesterday evening she got to spend some time in the gardens she loves so much. We carried her to the mulch area so she could lay under the flowers awhile as she always loved doing, then she laid on the patio stones just listening to the birds. Her early life may not have been easy but we pray the time she spent with us that she knew just how loved and treasured she was and will always be. Guests here recently have been so gracious in asking about her. Weâve met many new guests who had read about her and hoped to see her âhidingâ to watch them. We will be dedicating her favorite areas of the gardens to her. Weâre forever grateful you chose us Brownie and we cherish every moment we had with you precious girl đ
We have the best guests! Asia visited last year with her family and was attending film school. She took some video and pics while here. A family member recently sent this to us so we could share it. If you look closely the last few seconds youâll see our queen Brownie walking onto the patio. Thanks again Asia!!
