‘places in pieces vol. 4’ picks up where the series left off in 2011, as a non-narrative regionally focused meditation. This installment makes its way across Eastern and Central Europe, moth tracking from the Baltics to the Balkans, fluttering about the Caucasus region.
With a curiosity for the ordinary, ‘places in pieces vol. 4’ is an observation of quiet moments, contemplating time and memory. The film score is composed by Adam Parks (Water Is The Sun, Lighting White Bison). Volume 4 has a running time of 56 minutes.
Along with Gallery 1412 back in 2006, previous volumes of the ‘places in pieces’ series have been exhibited and screened at venues such as Artists’ Television Access (San Francisco), Echo Park Film Center (Los Angeles), Rhizome DC (Washington DC), Magacin Cultural Center (Belgrade), and Tacheles (Berlin).
