CASCADING DISSONANCE Tour 2026

Japanese experimental musician Shin Chida’s current work has shifted away from his early efforts at tape manipulation to a more obscure sound. Using tape delays, contact mics, synthesizer and concrete sound sources, initial experiments under the name Burried Machine were self-released in 2008 on his label, Rockatansky Records, with releases on Lust Vessel and Throne Heap following. Since then, he’s continued to perform live based in Tokyo. Rockatansky’s catalog includes releases by Grim, Nate Young, Wolf Eyes, and Aaron Dilloway. After a lengthy hiatus, Shin Chida return to noise with his new label, Happy Endings and the first release, Instant Pause was recorded for a West Coast Tour in 2025.
Scot Jenerik is a multidisciplinary artist/instrumentalist, instrument builder, composer and sound engineer. He has performed, lectured and distributed works extensively in the United States, Europe and Japan for over 40 years. He has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute; founded 23five Incorporated (the first non-profit arts organization in the US, dedicated specifically to the development and increased awareness of sound works in the public arena); is co-owner of Mobilization Records; and co-hosted the No Other Radio Network on KPFA.
His current live performance “The Fall of Icarus” is a 30-minute video with a live compositional improvisation solo performance.
Mike Meanstreetz is a LA based improviser whose non-traditional craft seeds new genres while reaping the fallen fruit of old. Sonically his practice explores and expands upon both metrical genre adjacent sensibilities and more fluid extended techniques via drum kit/percussion, musique concrete/electronic manipulation, and acoustic-electric nylon guitar. In these various modes he has performed throughout the US, Mexico, Canada and Europe with a long list of collaborators including Los Angeles Free Music Society, Anna Homler, Sandy Ewen, Tatsuya Nakatani, Martín Escalante, Henry Barnes, Patrick Shiroishi, Derek Monypeny and Arrington De Dionyso.

Both are live recordings.
One is a split with Knurl, and my track is recorded live at Monday Night with Nihilist Spasm Band at Forest City Gallery in Quebec Canada, Dec 1st 2008. Published by Wintage in a limited edition to 50 copies.
The other one is recorded live at 狼電10 with Nate Young Regression at Soup, Feb 25th 2012. Published by Throne Heap in a limited edition to 90 copies.

But as you know, this tape never got landed in states because UPS sent every single copies back to my home while I’m on tour.

I’m back home from a month west coast tour and things are settle now.
