When Amaka discovers the lie, she decides to focus on her future, rather than chase romance (man). Their encounter births a fragile connection, a relationship solely on benefits for Kendra because she wasn't looking for love(Didn't believe in it anymore), just distraction but Manny wanted more. When Manny fell hard, he officially broke things off with Kope. Kendra couldn't give love because she was too wounded to believe in "Happily ever after" . Manny pushed, made promises and professions but what was left was a woman determined to build and climb up again but not without the one person who made her feel alive again. He became withdrawn and angry with God,hated the church and anything that associates with it because he felt that God failed him when he didn't answer their prayers to save his wife. His anger and grief reshaped his life so much that even the things he once believed in started to feel empty. He became isolated and depressed but his only consolation was his smart daughter, Osareme. Along the line, he met Bisola played by @poshesteb . A woman who has faced her own pain and loss but never stopped believing or loving God. She walked through her pain, asked questions and found comfort in the presence and word of God so she still worshipped Him. Rather than rescuing Ebuka, she walked with him, helping him rediscover purpose and strength. She stood as a vessel of redemption and turned Ebuka back to God. Ebuka, like the prodigal son ,went back to His father in tears and remorse and slowly found his spark back and his smiles/happiness restored. AFTER THE RAIN is a movie that resonates if you have ever grappled with loss, faith or rebuilding your life after a storm. Everything went well until he met Juicy again after their first meeting where he gave her a rescuing lift. Juicy helped him retrieve some of his personal belongings from some street thugs and after that, what began as an act of humanity slowly shifts to friendship and pretty little genuine feelings. Kingsley fell in love and couldn't let go of. He split things off with Zara who played really mature, left without a fight. (When a man knows, he knows) Juicy condemned herself, fought the feelings but what is, is. Kingsley didn't look at her situation or background but loved and accepted her unconditionally. The story begins with Abby who's in an abusive marriage with her husband, Osahon played by @akeemogara . Abby stayed and kept mute, suffering psychological and physical abuse while covering her monster of a husband. What looked like a beautiful union on the surface hides years of emotional manipulation and abuse leading to Abby's tragic death. When her husband with the police ruled her death as an accident dismissing it as a case of mental issue, Abby's grieving sister, Lucy played by @sandraokunzuwa refuses to let the matter rest. She senses something deeper and then begins a relentless investigation and legal request to prove that Abby's death was not an accident but a calculated act of violence, even tho she didn't have enough for a legal battle. She employed the services of Barrister Fubara played by @officialmichaeldappa . A competent Barrister and one of the best in the game. Out of compassion and pity, he took her in and the legal battle began. It was a tough and intense one. From gathering evidence and pushing for a second autopsy to facing authorities and powerful forces, and Osahon from his end pulled all his corrupted ropes to flush the case away while fighting/frustrating Lucy by burning Abby's diary. (The only evidence Lucy could easily reach), but Justice prevailed at last with the help of Barrister Fubara. Through his intelligence, Osahon was set up and caught red handed confessing to his atrocities. Justice For Abby isn't just a movie for entertainment but one that shines spotlight on a serious social issue that affect many people but are often hidden behind closed doors. A woman struggling with deep emotional wounds and bitterness from her past, haunted by a painful breakup and betrayal, including the past pressure from her ex partner to undergo multiple abortions. Experiences that leave her emotionally scarred and struggling with resentment. She lived on the heartbreak until her journey led her to confront bitterness, release resentment and rediscover peace through faith and inner healing and she learned that true healing comes not from clinging to pain but releasing it especially for forgiveness and inner reconciliation because pain binds but healing and forgiveness frees. UNBOUND is a movie to remind us that Forgiveness isn't for them but for YOU and God isn't a partial God but a great TEACHER. I really applaud the cast for their stellar performances especially the lead actress. She really bodied the role and delivered a compelling and vulnerable lead performance.👏❤️.
