Receiving an award in the same category twice in 4yrs gats to mean something right? Well, if it does it means I have something to show the world.
I’m really grateful to be the recipient of this award. I’m sure it was a tough call for the jury. I’m truly grateful 🙏 to God who daily loads my life with benefits. Thank you @thefilmjoint for the honor and support to shortfilm makers. Thank you to the director of ‘BUSH BABY’ @tegaodikpa and the producer Ayoalecoker for trusting me with this story. To all the crew members ❤️, you made it possible for the character to thrive and a big shoutout to the nominees in the category 🫡.
Finally, I thank myself for always putting in the work and always believing in ME.
They say “Once is Chance, twice is coincidence, trice is…” stay tuned for the hat-trick 🤪
There’s a saying in this our country China; “Respect food” which could mean ‘don’t be wasteful’ and ‘Eat when you see food’.
One of the things that trips me is how cheap food is here. Eat till you drop but at little cost.
Food is artistic. The presentation, color, texture, vibrance. You always want to take a picture before dig-in.
Everything that goes into the belly is for your well being. Including their water.

‘BE BOLD’ - That’s all I had to be.
If all you need is unavailable, then what is available is all you need.
I’m grateful that I learned how to do much with little.
Grateful that I used the few resources at my disposal to achieve the most I could at the time.
I started with a smartphone. Short films. Stolen moments. Limited tools—but unlimited hunger.
And I’m glad I did.
Those days taught me discipline. They taught me storytelling. They taught me how to see light, frame emotion, and capture truth—long before I ever touched professional lenses or worked with large crews.
I do not despise the days of my little beginnings.
I honour them. Just like David in the wilderness, before you face a Goliath, you must first learn how to defend your sheep.
The wilderness is where the sling is practiced. The wilderness is where strength is built. When the Goliath appears, that is not the time to rehearse.
That is how I understand growth.
Sometimes you grow in the background—where no one is watching, where no applause follows your work, where your consistency is your only witness.
But when you finally step into the light, people expect excellence. Not because of pressure—but because growth demands it.
This is my journey. From smartphone to Lenses. From obscurity to responsibility. From preparation to purpose. And the truth remains: “Little beginnings are not a disadvantage—they are training grounds.”
God be praised.
