🔥 We’re thrilled to welcome Simon Franglen @simonfranglen as a Special Guest at the Screen Music Program this summer! In collaboration with @spitfireaudio .
A multi-award-winning composer and producer, Simon recently scored Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar:
Fire and Ash, continuing his work on one of the most iconic film franchises of all time. His credits span some of the highest-grossing films ever, alongside collaborations with visionary directors like Antoine Fuqua and Terrence Malick.
Before transitioning into film scoring, Simon built an extraordinary career as a producer and arranger, working with artists such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, The Weeknd, and Quincy Jones. His Grammy-winning work on My Heart Will Go On helped define the sound of cinematic pop, while his collaborations with composers like James Horner, Thomas Newman, and Howard Shore shaped his unique musical voice.
From cutting-edge immersive audio to global collaborations across cultures, Simon brings a truly forward-thinking perspective on music for picture.

Let’s welcome Sean Callery ✨ @callerysean
Throughout his 28-year career, he has received 17 Emmy nominations and 4 wins, becoming one of the most nominated composers of all time.
Known for his dynamic and evocative scores, he created music for celebrated series such as 24, Homeland, Bull, Jessica Jones and Designated Survivor.
His work on 24 earned him three Emmy Awards, while his fourth came for the main title theme of Jessica Jones.
He also scored Halo, praised for its epic and immersive sound.
A master of tension, narrative pacing and emotional depth,
he continues to be one of the defining composers of contemporary television 🎬🎶

Luigi is the Lead Composer at dpstudios, contributing to one of Italy’s leading companies in game audio.
A long-standing SMP Faculty Member, alongside his composing career, he has spent more than a decade sharing his knowledge through teaching, inspiring the next generation of musicians.

We’re proud to welcome our Faculty Member: Penka Kouneva @penkadkouneva 🎼
Grammy-winning composer and top studio orchestrator Penka Kouneva has worked in Hollywood for 25 years scoring television (Dragon Age Absolution, Pandora series), films (Aga, Encounter, Tarika), video games (Legends of Runeterra, Prince of Persia) and theme parks (NASA). On IMDB, she has 170+ credits. Her recent orchestrator credits include Moana 2 and Juror #2.
Penka holds a Duke University Ph.D. in composition and is known as a great mentor who’s helped 100+ young film and game composers cultivate remarkable Hollywood careers and become top studio composers.

Professor of Screen Scoring at Berklee College of Music, and Program Director for the MM in Film Scoring at Berklee Online, Alison is an award-winning composer whose scoring credits range from documentaries for PBS and the History Channel to national television ads, independent films, multimedia museum exhibits, and live theater.

Robbie Teehan is a Canadian composer with 15 years experience, known for award-winning indie dramas and documentaries, including Scarborough, winner of 8 Canadian Screen Awards including Best Picture, the documentary Bottle Conditioned directed by Academy Award nominee Jerry Franck, the documentary Below the Belt produced by Hilary Rodham Clinton, and the documentary The Babushkas of Chernobyl. For five years he apprenticed with composer Sean Callery in Los Angeles and contributed to many major network TV series. He is the founder of the boutique career coaching firm The Pro Composer @theprocomposer and has personally guided hundreds of composers through major career breakthroughs.
