Today is the release of Scrawl’s first ever compilation ‘String It Together’. The curation of this record came from a place of wanting to release music that raised money for Palestine and Sudan.
To start with I received some beautiful music from a handful of artists who all had coincidentally sent me works that featured experimentations with string instruments.
From this, the seed of compiling a collection of string works was born. I am so grateful to all of the artists who submitted their original tracks
@_m2c.audio_ @lilihollandfricke @gibranacervantes @ramilda.xx @loladelamata @floco_rj @siblings0fthe3arth @jo_paterson ft gemma_connor_jones &
@zarahudsonkozdoj
It’s so nice to finally be able to listen to the compilation in its entirety more as a listener than the curator. I love running a label because I get to engage with all of these wonderful artists’ worlds and it’s so nice seeing these worlds collide in the shape of a record.
I’ll be sharing some individual posts about the artists and their tracks over the coming days.
You can support by buying the digital compilation via Scrawl’s Bandcamp. All proceeds will be donated to
