I've had a ton of pastries and somehow, I'm still shocked by the take on these classics. Let's highlight my two faves 👇🏻
First of all let's highlight the pop tarts. Made and sourced from @scratchbakerykc . So flaky with the perfect crisp and the icing is like a thin buttercream balancing a creamy, salty sweet delight. Lastly the filling - they're doing just enough. Not too much not too little. Trust me when I say it was never my plan to fall in love with pop tarts in a new way like I was trying them as a kid for the first time again, but here we are.
Um also that coffee cake (also made and sourced by Scratch KC) - surely they'll sell them by the pan? Beautiful and delicious crumbly cinnamon cake that is both dense and moist just as a cake should be and the topping just ties it all together. That first bite was a moment I want to live in for life ✨🙂↕️

Another big time seller for the past few years is our take on the Cranberry Holiday (bliss) Bars. They are delicious and some of the best treats of the year.
Our bakery team just finished our largest holiday week yet!
Our baking team gets Wednesday and Thursday off (paid) to be with their family and loved ones. And we’re back at it Friday to get orders out for the weekend.
We’re so thankful to be based in KC and due to this coffee world the Scratch reach is hitting several states.

It is rare that we have positions available and one is opening up next month in our pastry team. We are looking for a pastry chef working with high volume croissants, biscuits, scratch tarts and confident on both manual and auto reversible sheeters.
A member of our team is moving and we are looking to fill the position soon.
Monday - Friday, 7a-3p. Strong salary, full benefits and PTO.
Our lamination team is 5 people strong with 38 full time employees in and out of our expanded bakery facility.

One year ago we made changes to our chocolate cookie recipe and farrr for the better. The consistency is spot on! It is extra gooey, more creamy and baked to perfection.
Scratch cookies are simply the best!
We’re very glad to be a part of @operationbreakthrough with @killatrav and @ignitionlab_ob
Our team works directly with Operation Breakthrough and the kids to create a partnership, sign agreements, place orders and teach them how to manufacture on a large scale the Sunshine Cookie. Everything was created and developed by the teen entrepreneurs!!
Thousands of cookies are sold weekly and a couple hundred were allowed in the stadium today!
