We’re feeling inspired after last week’s visit from @youthbuildphl students! Huge thank you to @aos_architects for connecting us.
The students joined @scoutltd architect Whitney to learn about the vision for the Village of Industry & Art (@villageofindustryandart ), then saw that vision in action by seeing Scout’s restoration process of the building’s historic windows, one by one, right here on site in our Maker Lab Wood Shop.
It was incredible to see the students get hands-on with the craft that’s bringing VIA back to life. We can’t wait to have them back. 🪟✨ #viaphl #villageofindustryandart

Earlier this month at our @bok_bar Friends & Family Opening, we were honored to receive a City Council citation recognizing 10 years of the Bok Building and its impact on this building and community. The resolution was introduced earlier this year by Councilmember Rue Landau (@ruephilacouncil ), who joined us to present it in person — which made the moment all the more meaningful!
Bok has never been a solo effort. It’s been shaped by hundreds of tenants, team members, collaborators, neighbors, and supporters who took a chance on an old school and helped make it something new.

Big news: The Village of Industry & Art was just named the 2026 @costar Impact Award winner for Sale/Acquisition of the Year in Philadelphia! 🏛️
The CoStar Impact Awards recognize exemplary commercial real estate transactions and projects completed in 2026 that significantly influenced neighborhoods or submarkets across 129 major markets in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Last year we had an incredible first summer in the courtyard, and we can’t wait to sip, snack, and gather again for season two! We’re bringing back our besties @irwinsupstairs for a more robust food menu, plus an updated selection of wines, summery cocktails, beer, cider, and NA options. And for those extra-hot days, our signature soft serve to the rescue 🍦
Frankie’s opening day is Friday, May 1 from 4:00pm-10:00pm, and the purple portal will be open Wednesdays through Sundays until the end of September. Keep an eye out here for updates on weekly live music lineups and special art + culture events all season long.

Doors are opening around Bok...🚪☀️ At the start of this year, we hinted at a couple of larger spaces that were to become available this Spring. We’re excited to share that those spaces are ready for what’s next!
The two ~1,200 sq ft spaces pictured here feature marble-topped former lab benches with sink access, historic cabinetry, refinished hardwood & polished concrete floors, and double door entry, all characteristics of the former science classroom’s charm and originality.
With abundant natural daylight, these spaces are perfectly suited for an artist collective, smaller-scale design firm, a nonprofit, professional creative office, or light artisanal scale production (hand tools, not noisy power tools). We’re looking for someone who can utilize the historic built-ins and sinks!

Join our team and help bring arts, community, and events to life. We’re looking for three part-time, as-needed roles:
1️⃣ Events & Community Coordinator – Plan and grow building-wide programs, coordinate community and tenant events, and help shape VIA’s events program.
2️⃣ Day-of Event Staff – Support events from setup to breakdown, assist guests, and keep events running smoothly.
3️⃣ Event Security Associate – Monitor building access, enforce policies, and ensure safety during events.
