FREE ALL NIGHT LONG PREMIERES @highwaysps
Free All Night Long is a satirical and truthful exploration of the every day structures of our American Life and the powers that rule it. Drawing on dance, performance art and deconstructed live soundscapes - all explored under the reverence of improvisation and in rebellion of rigidity - we ultimately ask the audience to consider what it means to comply, to persist, and to find catharsis in a system that seeks to strip away humanity while constantly demanding more.

The experiential, multimedia work considers memory fertilization and its inevitable depletion. Using movement and auditory motifs, the piece taunts sensations of familiarity in a recursive world. This nonlinear performance explores coping with the discomfort of forgetting by examining what is frontal and what is peripheral of memory.
Through the act of traversing adjoining environments, performers and audiences collectively activate breaches of a conceptual “gasket” that seals the past and present and when worn down, may leak or rupture.

GĒR is looking for 2-3 LA based dance/movement artists as well a lighting designer, stylist, and sound artist/musician for an experiential, multimedia performance taking place af Highways Performance Space from October 18th -19th.

The work considers memory fertilization and its inevitable depletion. Through the presence of movement, installation, and auditory motifs, the work examines what is frontal and what is peripheral of memory and the longing brought on by coping with the discomfort of forgetting.
Rehearsals will take place from early September to mid October.
