Hello Brain! 🧠 You shape my world, my world shapes you, is a free exhibition at the Francis Crick Institute and it takes you inside the marvellous and mysterious world in your head.
@thefranciscrickinstitute
Exhibition - It takes around 30 minutes to go through the full exhibition and to read everything. The exhibition is designed for people aged 12+, but because of how family friendly the space is, it doesn’t matter. We stayed 5 hours.
Crafting 🧶🧵- For the children there is CLAY to make a brain and for the grown ups, there is CROCHET and KNITTING to make some neurons. (Ask at the cafe)
More resources - ear defenders, magnifying glasses, colour overlays, torches, sensory backpacks, induction loops installed for audio
The Space - The space at Francis Crick is one of the most family friendly ones in the area, especially on a rainy day. There are books and toys for all ages, there is a cafe, where you can purchase light refreshments and also bring your own food and drink.There are accessible toilet facilities and water fountains in the exhibition space.
Let me tell you how long I have been waiting for this one. I even tried to go when they were setting it up 😂
