It is with huge pleasure that we welcome @scibor to our label catalogue. With his debut album “Searching for Colors” he introduces a beautiful airy vibe with many refined sound design details involved. 🌬️ “Searching for Colors” marks the first long-form statement by Berlin based US producer Scibor. The twelve pieces move between club structures and reflective passages, each track introducing a slightly altered perspective with a consistent sense of space. The opening piece “union” introduces a spacious mood with gentle jazz inflections, whereas tracks like “void”, “withering days”, “tides” and “fullness” move through atmospheric house structures shaped by airy layers and subtle rhythmic details. Heavier Techno-leaning pulses appear on “nexus 1” and continues on “nexus 2”, where clarinet tones by Eric Umble are woven into the groove. “Spiral” slows the pace into an ambient passage accompanied by a voice reflecting on inner creative dialogue, while the driving momentum of “flare” moves in the opposite direction, marking the point where friction enters the creative flow without breaking the album’s atmosphere - both functioning as different stages of the same trajectory. Across its runtime the record alternates between rhythmic focus and suspended moments. The result is an album that unfolds gradually, each piece adjusting the perspective slightly without breaking continuity. More recently, he has dedicated the majority of his time towards refining his musical craft. Happy Wednesday all! I wanted to share a few tracks that have been simmering for some time and are ready to see the world. Portrait Of Lily is a track that I made during a recent trip to NYC with the intention of testing the waters with something delicate at @basementnewyork  . Featured also in this post is Lily herself, the model that posed for the artwork. Cheesin’ it. Thank you to @tresorberlin for a very memorable night which felt like a huge milestone for me as an artist. @justynnell @mnr___._ @marinageorgedj all brought their best, as did all of the dancers who came out on a Wednesday night. I left feeling inspired, like I still have a lot to learn and grow as an artist, and I couldn’t be more thankful to such an institution for giving me that push. Looking forward to the next opportunity to boogey with yall ❤️

This last summer I had the pleasure of meeting @marinageorgedj - it’s been nice to deepen that relationship over a period of months and discover a shared understanding for the role of music in people’s lives. In a year that was very transitional for me as I committed more wholly to the pursuit of music, she pushed me to share where I was at at a time when maybe that was not the easiest thing to do. But I’m happy I did, because from that came this opportunity to play at one of the great musical institutions for techno - I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to share my vision for a dancefloor with Tresor 😀 I’ll be sharing the lineup with @justynnell and @mnr___._

Happy Friday! I wanted to share an unreleased track that I’ve gotten a lot of pleasure out of since having completed it some time ago. Ginger is a deep techno track with a strong foundational groove, subtle organic textures, and sublime melodic overtones. Much like the root vegetable, it should be used sparingly in your mixes, ideally not more than once. Over the last few years, it’s been a pleasure to watch @umblemusic @facetimetechno slowly grow into an event with a strong focus on community and supporting local & emerging artists. I’ve had a lot of musical ideas I’ve been meaning to share, and when Eric posted a few months back inquiring interested artists for mixes, I was excited to share some work with him. This mix was recorded during Spring in NYC, and it contains a few auditory easter eggs that were a part of my day to day in NY. It came at a major transition point in my life as I prepared to move to Berlin, and to some extent tries to encapsulate all of the mixed emotions that come with leaving home. The release is coming to you through @codecrecordings - I had the pleasure of sharing a line up with @__decoder last year, and then getting to better know him later that year. He has been immensely helpful in me making sense of what being a career musician looks like, and I can’t thank him enough for his support. Word is out - I’m excited to be back in NYC for a weekend to celebrate a special birthday. It means the world to play @mergebkn and I am super excited to share the decks with some of my favorite local talent. I’ve been spending a lot of time in studio and can’t wait to share some new things and boogie with you all 🕺

It took nearly a week to recover, but it was a weekend well worth the punishment. It was a special weekend on so many counts and it was amazing to spend it with you all. Thank you to the dancers who brought amazing energy to the dancefloor. Thank you to the DJs who all rose to the occasion to bring some of the best sets I have heard in a minute. And thank you to all who helped / contributed in any way, I don’t think something this special could have happened without all of you. I hope the weekend in nature was as wholesome as we intended it to be 🙂
