Thomas Ankersmit returns to Stockholm – a long-anticipated evening of visceral, spatial, and electrifying sound. Supported by locals Helena Linder and Scott Cazan.
Thomas Ankersmit – Berlin/Amsterdam-based composer and musician, known for his groundbreaking work with the Serge Modular synthesizer. His music combines intricate sonic detail with raw physical power, exploring infrasound, otoacoustic emissions, and creative misuse of electronics.
Helena Linder – Spain-born, Stockholm-based sound artist who builds and researches instruments. In her project Sirenology, she reimagines 19th-century acoustics experiments as contemporary sound art.
Scott Cazan – LA-born, Stockholm-based artist and composer working with live electronics, installations, and sound in performance.

We’re excited to share Intimate Commons at Roy Ascott’s Consciousness Reframed Conference taking place this weekend in Shanghai!
—
Intimate Commons pushes the idea of shared resources into our personal lives, experiences, and relationships. The experience uses AI and large language models to challenge our understanding of privacy and ownership in the digital age. As participants engage with the platform, their responses shape AI-generated scenarios, creating a reflective “digital commons” of personal data. By blurring the lines between private and shared experiences, Intimate Commons seeks to question our personal boundaries in an era of advancing artificial intelligence and machine consciousness.
”Love Song“ is a generative single ruminating on place, memory, and the expressive possibilities of algorithms as it slowly struggles to reproduce the melody to Neil Diamond's "Forever in Blue Jeans."
In this work, Scott Cazan traces a year of life between Los Angeles, Berlin, and Stockholm with genetic algorithms, Markov chains, spectral analysis of field recordings, and a number of samples from various objects collected over the time period.
Listen to the generative version from the Care Of website.
