🚲🔋 It's been one year since we launched South Central Power Up (SCPU) E-bike lending library for residents in South Central Los Angeles in partnership with @peopleformobilityjustice@vmpcsu@scope_la@rideonbikecoop@trust_south_la@esperanzachc@mercadolapaloma@fightsoulcities@ridewitus_la and @csuinc
In that time, the lending library has grown to the largest of its kind in the nation, and SCPU riders have logged more than 16,000 miles! As ridership has increased, SCPU continues to provide access to an emissions-free, low-cost mode of transportation to South Central LA residents. Since April 16, 2024, we’ve teamed up with amazing project partners—@vmpcsu@esperanzachc@fightsoulcities@rideonbikecoop@ridewitus_la@scope_la@trust_south_la —to educate, train, and engage with the South Central community.
Over the past year, our riders have traveled 16,000+ vehicle miles, a powerful milestone that shows the impact of accessible, clean mobility.
We’ve seen so many inspiring stories, like folks gaining access to job opportunities, reconnecting with family and community, and moving through the city with more freedom and power.
It’s another beautiful day for South Central.
