🚨 The truth about SNAP benefits. 🚨 This week on Supermamas, we spoke with @csuinc about one of the biggest misunderstandings impacting families. Most SNAP recipients work, often for corporations that keep wages so low that families are forced to rely on benefits just to get by. And the same corporations paying poverty-level wages are the ones profiting most from SNAP spending. It’s a cycle too many families are trapped in. In California alone, 5 million people rely on SNAP each month, bringing $1 billion into the state for food. In L.A. County, that’s 1.5 million people and roughly $300 million that keeps families fed. Tune in on Apple Podcasts to hear the full breakdown and why protecting SNAP means protecting our community. 🎙️💛
