More footage from yesterdays #Nakba78 march attended by 250,000. As Stop the War said:
"Yesterday we showed the political class, the media naysayers and the far-right haters that we will not be silenced. A quarter of a million were on the streets for Nakba 78 marching against racism and war.
Saturday was the 35th march for Palestine since Israel's attacks on Gaza began again in earnest almost three years ago. But this march had a different focus. Not only was it the Nakba commemorative march to remind us that what is happening today in Palestine began in 1948, not 2023, but it was also set against the backdrop of unprecedented attacks on our movement.
It was also the day the Met police granted the far-right permission to take over much of London's political district, permitted in full knowledge that the timing of the Unite the Kingdom march was a deliberate and provocative move by thug Tommy Robinson aimed at the Palestine movement. But we have shown that we stand strong, together and united"
So many brilliant speakers. Just a short excerpt here from legend Diane Abbott taken by one of our members

Today London showed which side the country is on. A quarter of a million people marched to oppose Tommy Robinson and mark 78 years since the Nakba. We vastly outnumbered the far right.
The government attempted to weaponise the horrific attack in Golders Green to shut down protest. It failed. Jewish blocs led the march. Trade unionists, Muslims, families, students - people from every background stood together and refused to be intimidated.
Tommy Robinson and his backers peddle Islamophobia and race hatred. They are not protecting communities from hate - they are the source of it. The same racism and nationalism that emboldens the far right here is driving genocide abroad. These struggles have always been connected.
Today proved the movement is growing. We take that energy back to our communities - here in Hertfordshire, and beyond.
No pasaran.

This is a bucket of crabs. If one crab tries to climb out the others will pull him back down. This is a metaphor for the policies of certain political parties; "why should they get something that I didn't". "Why should they be entitled to something and not me". Surely a strong community comes from pulling together, looking after each other, rising up together & helping each other escape that bucket? Don't be a bucket of crabs. Please vote wisely, but please vote. 🙏
Reform want you to blame your neighbours for broken public services. They want you to point the finger at migrants, at asylum seekers, at the most vulnerable people in our communities. But the truth is that our NHS, our schools, and our housing were gutted by years of deliberate underfunding by the very establishment that Reform represents.
We are here to offer a different answer. An answer built on solidarity, not scapegoating. An answer that asks who actually benefits when working people are divided and distracted. An answer that puts the facts back in people's hands.
Our community deserves better than hatred and division. Together we can push back. 💪

We were out today in Stevenage putting leaflets through doors and pushing back against Reform and their lies.
Our community deserves the truth, not scaremongering and dog whistles designed to divide us.
Brilliant to see so many people out making it happen. This is what grassroots organising looks like. 💪

SUTR North Herts volunteers are out in force
Reform are standing 5,000 candidates in the local elections on 7 May. They're spreading lies about housing, the NHS, and migrant communities - scapegoating the vulnerable while backing the same corporate interests that gutted our public services.
Our volunteers are getting leaflets through doors in Stevenage to counter Reform's racism with the facts.

On 16 May, the Palestine solidarity movement and Stand Up To Racism march together in London - united on Nakba Day to commemorate 78 years of ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide inflicted on the Palestinian people, and to demand an end to Britain's complicity in Israel's crimes.
Tommy Robinson has deliberately chosen this date to drive the Palestine movement off the streets. It won't work. The same forces backing the far right here are the ones backing genocide abroad. Our movements are not separate. They never have been. On 16 May we make that unity visible.
Half a million people marched on 28 March. The Palestine movement and the anti-fascist movement do it again - together - on 16 May. ✊
