*Setting the record straight*
This is a video of the sustained assaults on Ameen by two people on three occasions.
The video plays at normal speed and then again in slow motion (Total time 2 minutes). If you watch the video it shows Ameen being repeatedly assaulted and him defending himself.
The content is described as below.
Ameen and others, including Hannah Spencer MP (in a green coat a few feet away from him), are being chased and surrounded by a group of far-right monetising YouTubers, as Ameen and Hannah were trying to leave a Together Alliance rally.
Suddenly and unprovoked, a man in black takes a swing at Ameen with his fist. Ameen dodges the swing.
He is concentrating on the man when a woman with half dyed hair (who comes into view from the left of the video) comes up behind Ameen and hits him in his face with a GoPro camera on a stick, using it as a weapon. (You can see this as a second woman with blue headband moves in and out of view).
Ameen pushes the stick away from his face and downwards in response to this.
She pushes him and elbows him in the face. Ameen tries to push her away and then tries to walk away from her.
She points at him and shouts “Stop pushing me” and Ameen replies “You started it.”
Ameen turns and walks away from her towards Hannah. The woman follows him, leans back then kicks him in the right leg. Ameen turns and as he tries to push her away, the woman punches him three times in the face.
Again he walks away as others intervene to stop her assaulting him further. Again she follows him and assaults a women steward with a forceful push and pull of her hair. She also goes on to assault another male steward.
Ameen sustained serious, recorded injuries from the attack.
