As I build a new home here in Melbourne/Naarm, I’m looking to find new clients with an ethos and style akin to mine ∞ So here’s a hello and intro to my work: I’m a freelance photographer and graphic designer. My work tends to be observational, sensitive and candid. I offer both analogue and digital coverage. In my 15 years freelancing my work has taken me from gravel bike championships in Denmark and weddings in Tuscany, from on-stage with LCD Soundsystem to a studio shoot with Chihuahuas, from red carpets in Vienna to meditations in Mallorca. Storytelling is a huge part of my practice: sharing stories of immigration and culture at Free to Feed, shooting portraits in the Georgian mountains for Al Jazeera, or interviewing women about the intersection of religion and intimacy. I have a psychology degree, and a deep interest in translating conversations into visual and written stories. I’ve worked extensively in gastronomy – image suites, social media management. I co-authored and designed a cookbook, plated Berlin. I’ve shot and written about food and cultural events for Broadsheet, for Cee Cee Berlin and others. The film industry is something I’m hoping to spend more time in. I have experience with stills photography, assisting camera and running. I’ve shot a super 8 music video, and a feature-length film. I enjoy both assisting and the documentation of the film process, the teamwork and energy of the industry. I love capturing working behind the scenes with artists and musicians especially, capturing their artistic process. Tour photography or hands working a loom – both capture a moment in time. Hired by Jagjaguwar, Splendour, Laneway and Bigsound, I’ve spent years shooting press shots, album covers and tours. I’ve worked in house as a designer for several brands – from social media curation and design, newsletters, branding and print. I particularly enjoy book and layout design – I’ve designed three cookbooks, film festival programs, a guide to Berlin. Whether you’re a cafe-owner, artist or filmmaker, have a book idea, or need someone to design and schedule content, if any of the above resonates and you’d like to work together please reach out. 👋

We have an exciting announcement. Today we can finally share – we’ve made a cookbook: plated Berlin (!!) We have been involved in the Berlin gastronomy scene from different angles – both as photographers working for restaurants and food brands across the city, @judiliciousandnutritious as a food stylist, and @savvyv through writing cultural tips. This cookbook has brought us together for something a little different. From next week, we’ll share more details about the book and how to pre-order it, but for now we can say that we’re super excited to share more with you about this project we’ve been working on. For the past year, we’ve been shooting, interviewing and tasting delicious food across Berlin, and now we get to share with you, too… to keep in the loop follow @platedberlin 🍽️ 📷 @judiliciousandnutritious at @_parggg_ for @platedberlin #platedberlin #berlincookbook #berlinfoodie #berlincity #berlinfood #cookbook

(listen with sound) Over my last months in Berlin I’d walk and ride around the city with my camera, revisiting places of significance from six years living there. I remembered how the city felt before I knew it, felt closure capturing these places a final time. I’ve always loved desolate images that feel like life’s just walked out of them. In this case I felt it reflective of a psyche I sometimes inhabited in these places. I often wonder what’s happened on the street I’m on, in doorways, inside apartments. This is a small declaration of my memories in these places. My own memory map of a formative time. Track is Song of Abayi by Emahoy Tsege Marium Gebru. #berlin #berlinstagram #berlincity

My friend and skilled composer @boy_venus is moving interstate tomorrow and wanted some headshots — we had 10 minutes of shooting before his container of belongings was driven away but I think we did alright 🚙

Film shots of @lucytolanartist and her work at a recent group show ▫️ Lucy uses slab-building and pinch techniques to create her work.
