Impressions and glimpses of the exhibition 'Steine zwischen den Fronten' that I was part of this summer. A project by Melanie Hollaus and Christoph Lammerhuber. In collaboration with the @theartificialmuseum Located at Hof 7 @mqwien infront the Architekturzentrum Wien.

“Can you repeat that please?” Interactive multimedia 2-Channel installation, 2025 A satirical critique of the increasing workplace surveillance caused by the advancement of monitoring technology and AI. Nowadays, a wide range of industries utilize monitoring technology and AI to further develop their structures of workplace surveillance. Some companies go as far as claiming to measure all kinds of biomarkers, including breathing, heart rate, perspiration, body posture, and emotion recognition— which was recently banned in the European Union. This work seeks to engage the viewer in a discourse about these issues by luring them into a seemingly fun and interactive office-like setting. The spectators find themselves in an all too familiar Zoom call environment, only to discover that the rule for participating is to constantly present themselves in an overly happy and charming way. If they fail to maintain this facade, the emotion detection system immediately notices and warns them. What starts as a fun and recognizable setting soon transforms into a draining, uncanny experience. Through this interaction the artwork aims to convey and portray the problematic state of intensive panoptic surveillance that leads to an unprecedented climate of self-censorship and behavioral policing.

Throwback to being part of the Exhibition „fragility of being“ (11.9.2024-1.25.2025) with my work “Immediate Return Environment” Place: @dasweissehaus with Yela An, Luiza Furtado @luizafurtado__ , Ava Binta Giallo @avabintagiallo , Sunggu Hong @sung_gu_ , So Young Park @work_so_young_ , Luiza Spotorno @luizaspotorno , Francisco Valença Vaz @franciscovalencavaz , Esther Vörösmarty @esthervoeroesmarty curated by: May Alqaydi @may.alq , Andreja Drobnjak @nemaestetike , Daniel GardeazĂĄbal @danigarde , Nitza Perry @nitza_perry _perry organized by: DAS WEISSE HAUS @dasweissehaus , BLOCKFREI @blockfrei supported by: Elena Blum @byelenablum , Pia Wamsler @pia_wamsler , Ralitsa Petkova @ralitsavvpetkova part of VIENNA ART WEEK @viennaartweek The exhibition fragility of being delves into the precarious nature of human existence, weaving together themes of power, relationships, liminality, and memory. It examines how power structures govern our bodies and actions, influencing the way we navigate the world. The intricate dynamics of relationships, from connection to isolation, reflect our need for community and the challenges of maintaining it. Liminality explores the transitional spaces where we shift between presence and absence, belonging and estrangement. Memory, ever fluid, is shaped by dominant narratives; it questions which stories are preserved or forgotten. Together, these themes provoke reflection on the delicate balance between control, connection, and transformation. In this context, fragility of being highlights the tenuous relations between external forces and internal experiences, revealing how our sense of self, connections, and memories are subject to shifts that influence how we navigate and exist within the spaces we inhabit. Introducing IMMEDIATE RETURN ENVIROMENT - an immersive gaming experience „Nowadays omnipresent stress-inducing environments accelerate the urge to search for a temporary relief through the escapism into virtual realms and spheres. Strolling around, immersing yourself into the exploration of the surrounding habitat and absorbing the world around you only in the moment of perception, you delve into a child-like fewer dream. This isn’t about finding a realistic solution, but about embracing a fantastical playground, slipping into other indentities and perspectives and concentrating on immediate gleaming benefits.“ big thanks for the technical support: @vncnt_vrnkhl @wasb76 and for the soundscape: @blake_senpai_ Photo documentation: @chegusta.io @experimental_game_cultures @studio_egc
