𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟎𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 (𝟐𝟑:𝟓𝟗 𝐂𝐄𝐓) Curators’ Agenda is an annual intensive curatorsin-residence program taking place in Vienna, launched in 2015 by the Vienna-based organization BLOCKFREI @blockfrei .In January 2024, BLOCKFREI Collective (Nevena Janković, Eva Kovač, and Jana Dolečki) assumed the leadership of DAS WEISSE HAUS (from Alexandra Grausam) and, since then, integrated the organization’s programs under the umbrella of DAS WEISSE HAUS. Building on the success of its 2024 edition, we are pleased to announce the 2025 call for applications. C’A program is designed for a group of up to 10 curators, selected via an international call for applications, who are interested in further developing their curatorial competencies and establishing sustainable professional connections with the Viennese contemporary art scene. When selected, the participating curators will be enrolled as associate students (non-degree studies) at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and will be able to receive 4 ECTS for completing the seminar offered by the C’A curatorial mentor Anamarija Batista, PhD. 'fragility of being' To curate together means engaging in deep reflection on artworks, exploring their relationships and the insights they offer. It involves sharing personal perspectives and collaboratively developing new approaches. It is the pleasure of an ongoing conversation, where one argument leads to another, fostering a continuous exchange. To curate together is to be part of a group process that unfolds into something wonderful. Thank you a lot Andreja, Daniel, May and Nitza for our great collaboration and Das Weisse Haus for the development of the programm Curators' Agenda and a lot of care and support.

It examines how power structures govern our bodies and actions, influencing the way we navigate the world. Liminality explores the transitional spaces where we shift between presence and absence, belonging and estrangement. Memory, ever fluid, is shaped by dominant narratives; it questions which stories are preserved or forgotten. Together, these themes provoke reflection on the delicate balance between control, connection, and transformation. In this context, fragility of being highlights the tenuous relations between external forces and internal experiences, revealing how our sense of self, connections, and memories are subject to shifts that influence how we navigate and exist within the spaces we inhabit. After a short break due to the pandemic, we are happy to announce that the project is back with its 6th edition. C’A is tailored to emerging curators from all around the world who seek to explore and make lasting connections with Vienna’s contemporary art scene and are eager to immerse themselves in its diverse narratives and inclinations. The project’s culmination is a group show in partnership with the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Anamarija Batista @anamarija.batista – a curator, lecturer, and researcher working at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, will mentor the curators in their collaborative curation and realization of the exhibition. The show will be conceptualized through thinking about labor and leisure, disparity, time, and the meaning of success and will open on 09.11.2024 as part of the Special Projects & Independent Spaces program of VIENNA ART WEEK 2024 @viennaartweek - so make sure to save the date!
