This Sunday, MAY 10th enjoy a special menu I’ve designed with Chef @satocooks of @havensharborside to celebrate MOTHERS + ‘ĀINA. It includes off-menu favorites from our March Feast event + the option to add a coveted @hakuleilani gardenia lei poʻo. Prix Fixe menu tickets will CLOSE by FRIDAY to allow for sourcing.
A celebration of all the ways we mother our children, animals, loved ones, the land. And all the ways ʻāina mothers us.
Guests from your party may enjoy the prix fixe menu or order off the regular menu, but prix fixe dinners must be purchased in advance via ticket link in profile.

Round out the experience with live, local entertainment four nights a week and BOOM ALL BOXES ✅’d ! Wednesdays feature local Hawaiian music and hula as well as amazing premium wine specials.
I ordered the Fresh Catch of the Day which was Mahi Mahi caught hours earlier just beyond the harbor’s outer reef. It was paired with furikake rice and was by far the best Mahi Mahi dish I’ve ever tasted!
Havens was such a special experience, and if you choose to stop by, you will not be disappointed!

Chef Zack Sato is Maui’s reigning Chef of the Year (2025). He creates with intention, and details are important to him.
His daughter, Haven, is the namesake of Havens Harborside, and menu items like the Hanapa’a pay homage to Zach’s days growing up fishing along Maalaea Harbor with his father. A tackle box, reminiscent of those cherished moments, is the vessel this seafood delight is served in.
Tavis Mann, Chef Zack’s business partner, describes him as someone who “delights in the details, but does not revel in the spotlight!”

With all this weather I’m super grateful that there is still whole fresh fish coming into the restaurant doors.
These guys are risking their lives going out in these conditions especially with all the debris in the water. One of those murf logs could make puka and that’s it swimming with the sharks. Or takeout their engine then drifting at sea with shit visibility.
I also feel for the farmers that lost crops and had property/greenhouse damage.

Zach’s creativity, heart for his community, and humble nature make him very special. Quick Q&A:
A: Where are you from?
Z: Haliʻimaile boy raised in the ocean surfing.
A: When did you start pursuing cooking?
Z: Dishwashing Freshman year thru graduation, then jumped into cooking.
A: Training?
Z: Culinary School in San Diego. Training w/ @chriskajioka of @cafe_mirokaimuki , Merriman’s for 6yrs.
Zach and his team went to Lahaina immediately following the 2023 fires and fed community members there for over 3 months. He then opened @havensharborside with his biz partner Tavis last year and was named @mauimag ʻAipono Chef of the Year.❤️
