Born in Malali Low Cost, Kaduna State, to the family of Late Alhaji Abdullahi Dan Bala Matazu (Matawallen Matazu), she embarked on her educational journey at Nurudden Islamic School in Malali, Kaduna, where she earned her Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1994.
She continued her education at Government Girls’ Secondary School Kabomo, Bakori Local Government, completing her secondary education in 2000.
She earned a Diploma in Law at Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies in 2005, followed by an Advanced Diploma in English/Education from the same institution in
2007. She furthered her studies at Bayero University, Kano, obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration in 2010 and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2014.
She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Abuja, where she graduated in 2017.
Through her NGO, Her Excellency has transformed the lives of many young men and women, especially orphans.
She believes that orphans must be nurtured and raised with the same care as other children. Her commitment to this cause reflects her deep compassion and unwavering dedication to human welfare.
A philosopher once said that human beings are defined not by what they are, but by what they do; their commitment to their family, relatives, and the less privileged.
Her Excellency embodies this philosophy, tirelessly working to better her society. She is especially focused on improving and tackling three key Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, and Climate Action.
Her Excellency’s efforts are bolstered by massive engagements with stakeholders from various organizations both within Nigeria and abroad.
She pledges to do her utmost to improve lives positively through her focus on these three SDGs.

The First Lady of Katsina State, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Umar Radda, has launched a program to provide free eye treatment, medications, and glasses to about one thousand five hundred (1,500) people suffering from eye problems in Katsina.
On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, she inaugurated the program at the eye hospital located in the old market area of Katsina city.
This free eye care initiative is sponsored by @noordubaifoundation in collaboration with @sashin_ng and Katsina State Ministry of Health
Several dignitaries delivered speeches at the launch ceremony, including the Katsina State Commissioner for Health, Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua, the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai,a representative of the Noor Dubai Foundation, and others.
The event was also attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Training Institutions, Hon. Umar Mammada, the wife of the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, the wife of the Chief of Staff to the State Government, wives of local government chairmen,and many other distinguished guests.

“As I toured the 34 local governments across Katsina State during the election campaign, I will tour again to improve the lives of our people, especially women and children,” said the First Lady of Katsina State, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Umar Radda (Giwar Gwagwaren Katsina).
The First Lady made this statement on Saturday, 07-09-2024, when she visited Zango Local Government to launch a free health checkup, medication distribution program and Mosquito nets along with food aid for the patients who were examined.
She also reassured the people that every effort will be made to improve their lives by the grace of Allah.
This program was inaugurated to ensure that any patient in the local government would receive free treatment and medication for whatever illness they are suffering from.

The Katsina State Agency for Control of AIDS, in collaboration with the Office of the @firstladykatsina and @sashin_ng , recently organized an impactful outreach program focused on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS, Held at the General Hospital Katsina.
This event aimed to raise awareness and provide essential resources to expectant mothers.
This outreach initiative is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the government and Sashin in addressing public health challenges.
The primary objective was to educate pregnant women about the risks of HIV transmission to their unborn children and to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent it.
During the event, a total of 100 women received mama kits, which contain vital supplies for a safe and healthy childbirth. These kits are designed to support maternal health and ensure that both mothers and their babies have access to the necessary resources during and after delivery.
This is not the first time mama kits have been distributed to women in Katsina State. The continued presence of these life-saving resources underscores our sustained commitment to maternal and child health.
