My first book was brought into the world with the help of @simonandschuster and @simon.audio (and in French via @solar_editions ) in 2019. Thank you so much for reading and listening to the audiobook, for supporting and sharing. It means the world to me to see your photos and hear how the book has touched your life. SOUND BATH: Meditate, Heal and Connect through Listening is just as much personal as it is practical. In it, I address common questions on sound therapy, meditation, listening and its connection to healing. The book is filled with beautiful images, artwork, personal stories, essential terminology, and simple step-by-step practices to support your sound therapy exploration. So grateful to everyone who contributed. More info at bit.ly/soundbathbook or through the link in my bio. [OR receive a free download when you sign up for my next training 😉] Second book coming soon…(you heard it here first). 💫 #soundbathbook #soundbath

Motherhood lives in the ways we nurture, protect, guide, create, and care for one another. To mother is to listen deeply. To pay attention and hold space for growth, tenderness, and becoming. Today I’m reflecting on my own mother: her resilience, her warmth, and the quiet ways she continues to teach me that care can be both quiet and deeply intentional. So much of how I move through the world, and the spaces I create, began with her example. To anyone moving through this day with joy, grief, gratitude, longing, or reflection - may you find a small moment of rest and connection within it. 💕

I like to use light as a material, but my medium is actually perception. I want you to sense yourself sensing - to see yourself seeing. - @jamesturell In James Turrell’s spaces, light becomes something you don’t just look at, but listen with. Sound becomes a way of noticing how perception itself is shaped. Facilitating sound baths inside James Turrell installations has a way of dissolving the edges between seeing and hearing, between outer architecture and inner landscape. What remains is attention. Refined and alive. Every session is an invitation into that subtle shift, where perception turns back on itself, and you begin to experience the act of experiencing. #jamesturrell #soundbath first and last photos by @kirstenchilstrom

“What is the science behind sound baths?” might be the second most-asked question I receive in interviews… Sound asks you to listen. A sound bath supports the body in shifting into rest, regulation, and presence. Pause. Listen. Notice what changes. Take a deeper dive in my book, SOUND BATH: Meditate, Heal and Connect through Listening or join us for the next ASM Practitioner Training in November 2026 @wondharmacenter link in bio for more info

“Where there is life, there is sound. Every person, animal, plant—even planet—known to humanity experiences the vibrational energy of sound. Everything in our universe—both the material and the immaterial—is a form of vibration. Our internal and external worlds are a cacophony of discordant noises, a vast symphony of the organic and inorganic playing together to create melodies, layered harmonies, great swells, intricate rhythms, and deep rests in which silence offers a space for these sounds to integrate into your consciousness. Sound has been written about by countless poets, philosophers, architects, neuroscientists, and musicians. For centuries we have been using sound as a tool to celebrate, communicate, mourn, pray, and reduce pain and discomfort. Through sound we achieve a deeper understanding of self, we have a shared experience with others, and we connect to something greater. Sound can also help us disconnect—unplug, escape, and find balance and harmony in the mind and body. Sound is an invitation. It invites us to examine and understand the space around us, express and manifest thought, share our emotions, and find equilibrium.” Excerpt From SOUND BATH: Meditate, Heal and Connect through Listening By Sara Auster This material is protected by copyright. Registration is now OPEN for our next in-person ASM Practitioner Training this fall in upstate New York. Whether you’re sound-curious or a seasoned practitioner, we’d love to have you.
