as a jamaican lesbian, having a wedding in the way younger me wanted is a thought of the past. this first photo reallllly got me. it’s such a typical wedding photo and i absolutely love that. many of us have family members that have alienated us just because of who we love and how we love. i hope you all have community and love surrounding you. i hope the people cheering you on scream loud enough for the ones who chose not to be there.

HUGE thanks to the team over at @saphlicks for sharing our film with their community. THESE are the reasons I create my art, to share with the folks who find immediate resonance in the characters I create/collaborate on. So grateful this story is finding a home in many hearts nationwide.
And special thank you to @danielledhopkins for representing the film in my stead, so happy you were able to make it and provide such valuable insight in the way I know only you can 🫶🏾 love you friend 💕✨
