For the Guests Part II
For the Guests examines how objects in domestic spaces gain symbolic value, shifting their function and accessibility. Drawing on a childhood memory of a Fine China tea set reserved “only for special guests,” Renatha transforms the set into an enlarged textile sculpture. The work reflects on hospitality, aspiration, and the tensions between use, preservation, and display.
