arguably the best thing i did this year was write a karaoke song that may or may not appear in the background of a television show: stay tuned

also, we hosted dinners, knocked doors, celebrated, had some good mornings after, ate, yelled, wrote, edited, and insisted on better in 2026
Sasha saw we got nominated for a Golden Globe during our hot chocolate date and we screamed so loud the lady behind the counter jumped (eek). Wish us luck!! 🏆🌎♥️ #dyingforsex
Sarah here! I’m proud to support Shahana Hanif for city council because she’s a member of government who shares my core values. She grew up in District 39, where I’m happy to live, and I’m so excited for her to keep representing this district!
Join me and #JewsForShahana by adding your name to this letter of support: bit.ly/J4SLetter
it’s been a banner year for bad things, but a year ago today @sherribeeee and i got married (!), and that’s good, in ways big & small & intentional & unimaginable.

we’re back baby, for One Night Only:
ashkenazi seance is presented by @thetanknyc , a home for emerging artists, coming to you for Darkfest (which means the lighting will be Non Traditional)
thursday, july 18
7pm
directed by daniel krane (@danielkrane1 )
music, piano, and music direction by sofia geck (@sofigecko )
lighting design by jacqueline scaletta (@jacqueline.scaletta )
scenic consulting (and the rendering in the image!) from cate mccrea
look. it’s a profoundly weird time to be making a jewish seance about a piano. but it’s a good time to gather together. so see you at the tank?
link to tickets is in the bio
it’s my birthday!
it’s a weird day for a birthday: we’re moving tomorrow, and as i’ve complained about packing, about the dozens of boxes and bins filling our apartment, about how there’s still more stuff, i keep thinking about how lucky we are to *get* to move: to have time to pack our things, our sentimental photos and textiles and journals, so many books. and we’re only moving a mile and a half.
and thinking about how in gaza, people are being forced to leave their homes with nothing, those homes bombed to rubble — in the name of my safety.
so: if you would like to celebrate my birthday, you can venmo me or donate directly to @gaza.funds & send me a picture so i can say thanks. maybe a multiple of $18, maybe the cost of a drink you’d buy me 🥳, or whatever you can.
