I’m proud to be supporting my friend Brad Lander for Congress.
@brad.lander has spent his career taking on big fights for New York’s working families. He’ll bring principled leadership to Washington and make sure Congress works for the many, not just the few.
If you’re ready to fight back, contribute to Brad’s people-powered campaign. Every dollar helps fuel the movement we need to win.
I’m running for Congress because we’re facing a five-alarm fire for our democracy, and we need leaders who will fight, not fold.Â
Trump is abducting our neighbors and eroding our democratic institutions, and NY-10 residents are fed up with elected officials who’ve been acting like it’s normal. They want leaders who understand the stakes, and who will fight like our lives are on the line, because they are.Â
I’ve spent my life organizing my neighbors to win big fights - stopping evictions, building new housing, desegregating our schools, protecting immigrants from ICE.Â
I recognize this moment, and I’m ready to meet it. #FightDontFold #LanderForNYC #LanderForCongress

What a gorgeous day in NYC today! The highlight of the Grand Army Plaza greenmarket this morning was meeting Abraham, a kindergartener who could not be prouder of PS 130’s national champion chess team!
Props to the 30,000 runners who ran the Brooklyn Half Marathon today! You looked great out of the starting gate at Grand Army Plaza. And I know you looked great at the finish line on the Coney Island boardwalk, too. Bravo!
Looking for the great American novel of the community land trust? Or a way to celebrate that May is both AAPI Heritage Month & Jewish Heritage Month? @abigailsavitchlew has you covered!
Livonia Chow Mein is a four-generation story, set in Brownsville, that manages to combine a whodunit murder mystery, a powerful set of reflections on diverse New York identities and the conflicts they reflect, and a glimpse into how we might create models for development that enable healing in communities.
I first met Abby when she was a reporter for @citylimitsnews , and I saw then what a talented writer she was. What a great first novel.
$29 billion and counting spent on Trump’s illegal war. Every dollar of which would’ve been better spent on housing, healthcare & childcare here at home.
Restrain this deranged president. Pass a War Powers Resolution now.
After Signature Bank failed in 2023, I made an innovative investment as Comptroller that saved 35,000 affordable housing units in New York — and delivered a great return for NYC’s retirees at the same time.
How did we protect these units from predatory investment vultures? Well, it went something like this (minus the Jenga tower).
New York’s nurses are healthcare heroes. They showed up & saved lives during the pandemic, like they do for us every single day.
The least we can do is fight alongside @nynurses for fair wages, better benefits & safe staffing. I’m proud to have their endorsement in this race. I’ll fight like hell to support them, from their picket lines to the halls of Congress.
Who doesn’t agree with taxing billionaires more? Oh right, the billionaires!
They may whine about it (and even try buying elections to stop us), but the movement is growing to tax obscene wealth — and use it to fund child care, health care, and affordable housing.
In NYC, that’s the pied-a-terre tax. In Washington, that’s Senator @elizabethwarren ’s 2-cent wealth tax on fortunes over $50 million (and 3-cents over $1 billion).
