Ahead of @liakblock ’s return to rally and class W at Boone Forest Rally, I got to drop in and assist hero photo maker @therealdriveby - as they debuted the announcement and fresh livery.
Always a fun and reminiscent return to HRD/BHR, and huge thanks to both Lia and Jaxon for the signed poster for two old coworkers, myself and my golden Boone, who once pee’d on one of Lia’s rally cars (for good luck)

These kinds of trips to remind me why I fell in love with cars- namely the people and the driving that come with them. Also existing in the bubble of MCW sure spoils your taste for eye candy.
Very happy I got the E28 fixed to put an immediate 2,000 miles of Monterey Car Week on it- we’ll call this the 11th year anniversary of ownership outing.
Thanks to all the old and new friends for making it an amazing one- I didn’t take enough photos of people or their cars, but being present was what I needed more after so many years missing these kinds of travels.

Selected as a part of @thefindlab ’s Community Photo Exhibit at their Provo location until July 5th.
Upon submission, I had to make a name for this photo- a photo I’ve already printed in my ‘2020 Film in Review’ book, and that I see next to my espresso machine daily- but have never named. I don’t know if I’ve ever named a photo.
What I always explain to friends about the still, are the elements that are no longer around-
Kitty the cat has since passed.
I, and the crew, no longer live in that house (to be continued…)
The tree reflection in the upper left window, was one we all commonly saw in our film photography- and had since been cut down. (Last photo)
Similarly in the vein of change, my BMW E28 had emerged for the first time in three years from the garage with a long list of stark refreshments… nowhere near the same car as before.
And all of that was just as of last month…
This month, after naming and submission, it went even further…
That house and the two enormous trees in the backyard have now been demolished. All that remains from that frame is the sidewalk, and my car. I seemed to find a piece of the siding, and a polished piece of garage concrete upon visiting the now dirt lot.
All just a very special stack of memories, during an unknowningly transformational era- like they always are.
