For this edition, we’re especially stoked to welcome two talented multidisciplinary artists, translating their energy and sounds into heavyweight selections: @yolandelaroche_ is a queer Canadian-Taiwanese artist based in Gatineau. A multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ, she plays in the bands Pony Girl and KAY-fayb, and leads her own projects both as Yolande Laroche and Orchidae. @samaleums (live) Rather than digging for deep cuts, he takes inspiration from what he hears to create live sets of original music made with repurposed samples, intricate drum programming, and analog synths. Though he is partial to techno, jungle, and electro for the dancefloor, he also loves a downtempo or ambient setting to showcase his melodic and textural side. He is always changing and adapting, never settling on one setup or sound. Alongside them, @bleupale.sounds will be warming up the night, and @a__and.re will be playing a special 4/20 selection focused on deep rhythms, weaving broken sounds, and bass pressure. Hellooo everyone, this friday I make my public debut behind a DJ mixer to try a new style of live performance for @catalyst.ottawa Chain Reaction III. I'll be playing these and other original techno grooves live along with some very talented electronic musicians on the fantastic Club SAW soundsystem. Hi all, I am very lucky to be playing several gigs in and around the city of Ottawa over the next few weeks. I would love to see you at any one of them. Next Friday I take the SAW stage alongside the talented wizards of the @catalyst.ottawa crew to tear it up with nonstop live techno music all night long. The last two times we pulled this off were incredible and I have no doubt it will be a blast. Tickets on eventbrite through the Catalyst page. The very next day we will be taking a trip just 30m outside the city for a FREE PARTY hosted by @peopleofmeat . If like me you wish to be transported back to 1997 for the positivity of the free party movement, this is your chance to revel in breakbeats and distorted kick drums in a truly unbeatable atmosphere. Bring a tent, bring energy, stay all night for live music, djs, and vinyl on a custom sound system. Drinks and food will be available, and it is FREE. Seriously, this is probably going to be the last one of these for a long while so if any of what I said interests you, send me a dm and I will tell you how to get there. The next weekend I have the honour of being a guest at Arlington 5 for an intimate evening of electronic music hosted by @remedio.613 . I will be contributing a live set of dark, dubbed out and bassy sample heavy soundscapes. Very limited tickets are still available on RA through Remedio's page. Note: the poster here is out of date, and unfortately Seiizi will not be joining us on that evening. Next up I head over to Cornwall to join the global drone movement and some of my good friends in what I am told used to be a sex dungeon for Drone Day 2026. This event is FREE with a non-perishable food donation that will go to the Agape Centre. And finally, Coldest Summer.
