I’m not sure this has quite sunk in yet… 💙
Today I received a Chief Nursing Officer Gold Award for Outstanding Service to Nursing from My Trust
@uhsussex and
@nhsengland
I’m still a little lost for words. Thank you to
@maggieadavies1 and everyone at
@nhsengland for this prestigious honour.
Hearing the nomination, understanding the “why” behind it… honestly It was emotional, humbling, and something I will carry with me for a very long time. And to receive this award whilst presenting some of my work on the international stage at the
@etnatrannursing 2026 conference has made it both more special and surreal.
I feel so incredibly grateful. To
@macaninche , Rebecca Fillary and
@instakram87 — thank you for seeing me, for believing in me, and for taking the time to nominate me. That means more than I can ever fully explain.
To everyone who has been part of my journey so far especially at
@uhsussex — thank you for your support, your encouragement, and for lifting me up along the way. To our Chief Nurse Maggie Davies, our Chief AHP Cate Leighton,
@keeling_fiona , and my amazing AHP Education Team… thank you for welcoming me, backing me, and making me feel like I truly belong.
And to everyone involved in
@international_care_collective Podcast — this is ours. A shared vision, a shared passion, and something I am so unbelievably proud to be part of. Thanks to everyone
@stay_and_thrive for your belief and trust in me with this project.
I’m proud… but more than that, I’m just deeply thankful. For the people, the opportunities, and the purpose behind it all.
Still a bit in shock. Still processing but very, very grateful 💙
