hello, Mother’s Day revelers & Sunday patrons of our little shop by the water! wanted to thank everyone for their support, patience & understanding today. we had some hiccups throughout service with Hawaiian bun proofing, not all our items turning out & frankly, being ill-prepared for how busy it was. our team did their best in triaging & responding to this all while trying to keep hospitality high. sometimes our best laid plans go egg-shaped & i’m grateful for our crew & all of you who came through trying to make the best of it. we’ll re-tool & try to get better next time. sending gratitude, yasuaki & the Saints 🙏🙏💛💛✨✨

Hi, Saint Bread here, your nongendered patron Saint of carbohydrates etc etc, with an announcement: IT’S GIVING TUESDAY! Every month, Saint Bread, The Wayland Mill, and Tivoli donate snacks and dough ($$ this kind!) to the @udistrictfoodbank . We donate to many organizations each month, but the U District Food Bank feels close to our hearts: they provide food, groceries, and resources to folks in need. They feed our neighborhood, deliver groceries to those unable to leave their homes, and provide ready-to-eat meals to our unsheltered neighbors. They are an amazing group and they serve the U District and beyond. Maybe you know this already, so why is this Saint going on and on?! It’s because THEY NEED YOUR HELP, and so do we, raising $ for the food bank this Giving Tuesday! SO... we’re doing another donation raffle! Here’s how it works: • DONATE $25 or more to the U District Food Bank. It’s AANHPI HERITAGE MONTH! We’re celebrating this month by raising some awareness of kindred AANHPI-owned bakeries around Seattle with a BAKERY CRAWL! CARROT CAKE with LIME CURD! A spring edit of a fall classic. Tender & moist carrot cake, made with buttermilk for added lightness and flavor. Ginger, cardamom, and vanilla spices. No cream cheese frosting to be seen - instead, there are two perfect tangy layers of sharp lime curd 🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩 It’s bright, it’s springy, it’s delicious. And yes, it pairs well with coffee. SAINT BREAD IS 5 YEARS OLD ON MONDAY, 4/20! And we’re having a little birthday party. Our regular menu available from 7:30am - 2:30pm. Special @hapa.dog menu from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Birthday cake slices, $4.20 sake pours, and a celebratory spirit! Come on by. We’ll be here. The music never stopped!

HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY to Kimberly! Don’t bother her today, because she has the day off and is hopefully enjoying a banana cream pie, a delicious libation, this perfect weather, and the people (and critters!) who love her ❤️ She’s queen of all things Saint Bread, and our group would be less joyful, less organized, and less awesome without her. Wish her a HBD when she’s back at work ;)
