When I was a kid, I spent countless hours outdoors — climbing trees, playing football, running for no reason, or cycling around. I’d only return home twice a day: once for lunch, once for dinner and sleep. As a teenager, people would already ask me: “Why do you like sports so much?” or “Can’t you sit still for a bit?” Many laughed at my pure and sincere will to become better at what I loved, without any specific purpose — just a feeling. When school was ending and every kid had to make “a choice,” I heard the same doubts: “You won’t make anything out of this.” By then, I was already deep into calisthenics. In university, the jokes continued: “You chose the wrong faculty.” (For the record, I earned a Master’s degree in International Relations and Languages Interpreting.) But while I studied, I was also traveling the world through calisthenics — and inspiring hundreds. Slowly, the laughter faded. I could share endless examples of how it was all a joke to everyone at certain stage… until the moment I began living my very best life. A life of freedom, doing only what I love. Never pressured. Never unsatisfied. Never unhappy. It’s been over 5 years now since I started fully living this way. How? Simply by doing what I love. Was I the best right away? Not at all. But at every stage, in every way — whether it was visualizing, celebrating one more pull-up, or just sharing moments with others at the bars — I was already winning. Believe in yourself. Everyone says it’s hard, but in truth, it’s the easiest and most important thing you can do. I’d even call it mandatory. No one can, nor should, take your self-belief from you. Remember who you are: the master of your own life.

How often should you train the basics? We asked @saibov and his answer was clear: Pretty much every training. Even if the session is more focused on skill training, he still finishes with pulls and push-ups because, in his words, it is “just in my DNA.” That is such a strong reminder: the basics do not disappear when you get more advanced. They stay with you. And his bigger point matters even more: everybody should have at least one training session that is just basics. That is how you build real progress. Do your basics 100%. #Saibov #CalisthenicsBasics #DoYourBasics #endureps #builtbyreps

This year marked my third time co-organizing the @calisthenics_cup Endurance alongside @gornation and @danielflefil ✨ What we’ve built is no longer just a competition - it’s a benchmark. Standards have evolved, formats have improved, and events around the world now have something real to follow and be inspired by. Athletes have a true elite stage to prepare for. Coaches have a clear direction to develop something exceptional. Brands have a community that genuinely invests in progress. But more importantly, the mindset has shifted - higher standards not only in performance, but in respect, discipline, and how we represent ourselves as a community. Huge respect and gratitude to all the athletes who showed up - investing not only their time, but also their own resources to be part of this stage. That level of commitment is what truly builds the sport. Thank you to everyone watching, supporting, and following from around the world - your energy reaches further than you think. And of course, big appreciation to the entire staff and team behind the scenes - without you, none of this would be possible. This was my last Calisthenics Cup as an organizer and judge for now - not forever, but a closing chapter after nearly 7 years of judging, organizing, and contributing to this space. Now it’s time to refocus on my competitive path and finish the personal projects I’ve started. The work continues. 📸 @matt.rfft 💙
