I was shaped early by the discipline of being an athlete—structure, repetition, and the will to outwork the moment. That same drive is what fuels my process in the studio today.
The fifth solo show, When Everyone Loves Everyone Heals, is a moment that shows what happens when you build in-house, protect the spirit of the work, and treat every milestone as a warm-up for what’s next.
The crossover for me is the mentality—team, consistency, and work ethic. That’s what translates into large-scale pieces, hand made garments, and every project we touch. We’re just getting started.
Very proud of the energy and push that went into bringing @s_weleh to the Main Stage for @theestallion@coachella — if you couldn’t make it to the dessert, make sure to tap into the stream on YouTube!
Special thanks to @jocelynn_williams@jackavelithedon for commissioning @weleh_ca x @keekalator to produce these works of art for this major moment.
After four years of creative incubation, WELEH premieres his second solo show, “Act II: Dispersion.” The centerpiece of the exhibition, Free Agency (Fig. 01), showcases WELEH’s distinctive Pelting technique, offering a unique and colorful reinterpretation of pelt or fur using materials like paracord. This piece, with its primal yet visually compelling design, invites viewers to explore the myriad possibilities and meanings embedded within.
The carefully curated show reflects how the Diaspora connects us all, weaving a subtle but powerful narrative throughout the exhibition. Drawing from his personal experiences and the rich diversity of people worldwide, WELEH has crafted a unique and resonant style that is unmistakably his own.
